During an incredibly difficult time, working out a separation agreement from my husband of many decades, Darcy was thoughtful, caring and wise. Darcy fostered a separation agreement process that allowed for me to maintain my dignity, and forge ahead. Her compassion and insight were paramount in securing a fair agreement with grace - something I could not find outside the collaborative process.

My trusted financial advisor recommended Darcy to me as THE family lawyer in town and it was one of the best recommendations I have received. Like most of us, I have high expectations about expertise and response time. Darcy patiently listened to my questions, made terrific suggestions and guided me through an emotional and challenging situation, all while responding the same day. Darcy is someone you want in your corner!

Darcy is in a league of her own. She is highly intelligent, both intellectually and emotionally. She genuinely sees people and their families and brings compassion to every case she mediates. She is extremely responsive to all channels of communication and sets clear expectations for her clients. Darcy truly wants to arrive at a resolution that is in the best interest of the family she is working with. Unlike other attorneys whom I met with, she never tried to “gas me up” or say ridiculously inflammatory things that would spur further disagreements between me and my ex. She appropriately sets emotion aside and helps her clients remain practical, logical, and optimistic. This month, she was featured on the cover of Super Lawyers magazine and I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving.

Charlie is an amazing attorney who helped me with numerous cases. Charlie secured a favorable outcome in my falsely accused protective hearing case as well as the criminal charges that I was facing. Charlie was able to have all the charges dropped and I didn’t have any sort of conviction on my record. Charlie goes above and beyond for his clients. I would use him every time I faced any sort of criminal or protective / peace order issue.

I don't usually do these reviews online, only for things I truly believe in and respect. I have known Brian Barke professionally for 20 years. He is incredibly smart, fair, he knows the Maryland court system and laws better than any lawyer I've ever spoken to. You will not lose with Brian, or rather, you will get the best possible result you can with him. He's fair, he's honest, he's smart. He is someone anyone would want in their corner and I can't say enough about him. You will never regret hiring Brian Barke.
