It's not just that the firm is so well-known and constantly receives accolades. I know the principals for decades and they are among the sharpest attorneys I've encountered. John Pontius is THE lawyer to go to for state/DC tax problems. The 5 stars say good- but John is excellent. I am 83 yrs old and have hired my fair share of lawyers. He is super professional, efficient, very bright, gets back to you right away for important matters. Knows the law and how deal with the bureaucracy with finesse and grace. And value; his fees amounted to around ten percent of the money he saved us! He is also very nice guy. So easy to work with. Recommend him in a heart beat.
