Mr. MacDonald is the attorney you want on your side. Not only is he knowledgeable and professional he is well respected by other attorneys, prosecutors, and judges. Each time I was present for court he was greeted first by others in a positive manner. His calm, confident demeanor kept me at ease when it felt like everything around me was falling apart. He never made any promises or guarantees just explained the processes and I knew that he would fight for me. His prior experience as a prosecutor was a plus in his thought process. Background: I am an active duty servicemember with 22 years of service. March 2020 my whole world almost came to an end when I was notified that I was under investigation for being falsely accused of one of the most heinous crimes you could imagine. I risked losing my retirement, my family and most importantly my freedom for a long time. I was removed from my home and contacted Mr. MacDonald the following morning. From that initial phone call I knew I wanted him as my attorney and paid the retainer fees. He explained the process, what to expect and gave me his personal cell phone number to contact him if/when I was arrested. He notified me that due to the nature of the charges I would be held without bail. May 2020, I was arrested at my job and held without bail in Virginia while awaiting extradition to Maryland. I immediately called Mr. MacDonald and notified him of my arrest. Again he talked me through what to expect when I went before the magistrates. After 12 days I was extradited to Maryland. When I went to my bond review the deputy told me not to expect bond due to the nature of the charges. I was the ONLY one that was released on bond that day. Not only did I receive a bond but I was released on my own recognizance which is unheard of. I know that was mainly in part because of my attorney. November of 2020 Mr. MacDonald discovered evidence which resulted in the state dismissing all charges! Good lawyers aren't cheap and cheap lawyers aren't good! Hire Mr. MacDonald for anything you are accused of!

Back in February 2020 during the holiday weekend I got caught speeding in a speed trap right before entering Ocean City, MD. I didn't want to get points added to my driver license as traffic points have increased so much in VA. I called and left a voice message and he called me back and we discussed everything and he explained the process and what it may entail and hopefully we end up with an amicable solution where no points would be added to my license. Then came the COVID-19 pandemic! My trial date was originally set for April, then postponed to June and again to October. I did not have to go and Andrew represented me and informed me that the Officer didn't show up and he moved to dismiss the case! So no points and no fines and I am so grateful and certainly recommend his law firm with how they handled my case given everything than happened. Andrew MacDonald did exactly what I asked him to do and getting my case dismissed there are lawyers and then there are the kind of lawyers where you don't even have to go to court and he's that kind of lawyer I would recommend him in criminal defense for anyone and he did it at an awesome price.

Mr. Macdonald represented my son on a case that could have been very harmful to his furture. Mr. Macdonald does not come across as a fast talking lawyer who promises to have all the answers. But do not be fooled by his understated manner - he did have the answers for us. In a difficult situation where the odds were not good that we would get the result we deserved, Mr. Macdonald did an amazing job preparing for testimony. During the trial he knew what to say and more importantly, what not to say. As a result, the right and just verdict was returned. When the judge explained one of the principal factors in his verdict, he almost quoted Mr. Macdonald's pre-trial advice verbatim.
