The past several months of my life has brought me much pain and suffering. However, my faith, family, friends and my defending counsel, Mr. David Wooten were a source of encouragement for me. Dr. Martin Luther king Jnr, spoke of the redemptive quality of unearned suffering and I must say I was redeemed. Mr. Wooten had a renewed sense of purpose as my lawyer and it really took a mountain off my back and has allowed me to regain that sense of enthusiasm that I had coming all the way from my formative years in high school through to University. My family, academic colleagues, students, friends and past institutions of studies were constantly in my mind as I grapple with the distress and pressure of this most unwarranted and unexpected development. Mr. Wooten winning my case has averted a bad situation that could have resulted in a black young Jamaican with unlimited potential from ending up behind bars far away from families and well wishers. Right when my family thought our world had ended, the law firm of Jezic, Krum & Moyse gave our life back just in time for the holidays.
