Never being arrested for anything in my entire 65 year life, nor ever having any issue with any law enforcement agency, I received a DUI. Mr. Stavros was hired within the last year by a close friend who's daughter was issued a DUI in the same Maryland jurisdiction. Had I not had a referral I don't know how I would have found the best attorney for me. My incident/arrest occurred on a Saturday and I contacted M. Stavros on Sunday. He answered that day and we arranged to meet 2 days later. Just as I was evaluating whether to hire Mr. Stavros when we met, he was evaluating whether to take me as a client. I found this uncharacteristically fair and unique. He obvious had a keen sense of not only my situation but began to prepare for the worst. The 2 months waiting for my trial were an emotional torture for myself and Mr. Stavros did everything he could to settle me down along the way short of guaranteeing the best outcome. Facing potential jail time, we jointly developed the best defense to use in front of a very strict judge. As with most cases, very little time is afforded at trial to tell my side of the story. But Mr. Stavros was well-prepared. I am also convinced that his knowledge and experience with the district court and the state's prosecutor were instrumental in the final results. He kept in contact with me every step along the way and was quickly responsive to any question or concerns that I had. He always responded on the same day. Even though I struggled personally to handle the entire nightmarish process of the MVA, Interlock, Counseling, court and legal paperwork and my trial, I knew that he was the lawyer fully capable of protecting me and my family. Anyone who desires a defense attorney who will tell you like it is, pull no punches and give it the best shot should hire Mr. Stavros. He has my highest recommendation.

Andrea helped me through a particularly difficult divorce. She was wonderful. For every legal maneuver my spouse's lawyer dreamed up, she had an effective counter move to keep them honest. It was a nightmare that she made bearable. I recommend her without reservation.

Andrea is absolutely amazing. She guided me through the custody process with compassion. With her understanding of the court system she was able to get me primary custody of my children and filed a contempt against my ex for non payment of support. I recommend Andrea for any type of custody / support issue , she is persistent and relentless against the opposing counsel . Attorney Andrea K Sugar (My Guardian Angel) is the best!!!!! I've always heard the worst things about lawyers until I met Andrea. As the result of an (out of the ordinary) family crisis, I contacted Ms Sugar through a court provided attorney referral list. We met the next day and discussed the case. She laid out all of the different options we had and which way she thought would be best. I agreed with her approach and she was correct ( as usual ). Our case was a total success.
