Richard K Scott was knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive. Loved him!

This is a brutally honest account of my appalling experience with Shepard Law Firm. I contacted Shepard Law Firm seeking a criminal defense attorney for my brother, who is in jail. The lady, who seems to be the attorney’s wife, informed me that the attorney needed to visit my brother first, requiring an upfront fee. When I inquired about the total cost, she quoted a maximum amount. I asked to speak to the attorney directly and proposed paying the maximum upfront to avoid the visitation fee. He insisted on sticking to their standard fees and process. Reluctantly, I paid for the visitation, and they promised to see my brother within three days. Four days passed with no visit, and they told me they'd need two more days. After another four days, I called again and left a message. The lady eventually called back, claiming they had met with my brother and he wanted to speak with me before proceeding. She gave no details about the meeting, which raised my suspicions. I later discovered from my brother that the attorney only spoke to him over the phone. The lady lied about the in-person visit. Additionally, my brother reported that the attorney quoted a fee $2500 higher than what I was initially told. This was outrageous. Repeated attempts to contact their office went unanswered until I called from a different number. When confronted, the lady became defensive, denying her initial quote and offering a flimsy excuse about jail issues. She hung up on me when I pressed her further. In my view, this firm is dishonest, deceptive, and engages in bait-and-switch tactics. They lure you in with a low fee and then jack up the price. I strongly advise against using Shepard Law Firm.

I was recently a client of Shepard law , and my lawyer was the best lawyer,he kept me up to date and he insured me of the whole process. Every charge was dropped and he helped ny record stay clean. He definitely served justice for me and I’m am grateful.

Imagine a lawyer taking the time to return your call on a Sunday, and to top it off he called on Mother's day! Mr Scott explained everything we needed to know at length and broke it down in language that everyone could understand, he probably saved us close to 10k and that itself is a blessing especially in these hard times, at the end of the call he even said if we had further questions don't hesitate to call! Mr Scott is definitely a breath of fresh air in this climate where everything and everyone is only focused on $$, I would definitely recommend Mr Scott to anyone, I hope whomever reads this and is in dire need of honest help or advice will give him a call, you won't regret it!
