Powers Jr., P.C., I would have been unable to successfully settle an estate for which I was the executrix. We used them to update our wills and other end-of-life docs and were very happy with their services. Also very happy with the product. The whole process was quick and easy.

Highest marks for a holistic, whole-office approach to attending to my needs with special kudos to Cathy Keir and Zach Worshtil. The easy part: constructing Power of Attorney - Financial and Medical forms as well as Wills for my mother and me. That’s paperwork. The hard part: helping me execute my mother’s will when I served as her Personal Representative. That’s tenacity! Not only was my mother a cluttered hoarder, but she also “let it ride”, not updating documents when her status changed and not correcting mistakes when they happened. Her unclaimed properties went back forty years. As a result of her hoarding, my mother had numerous stock certificates for companies that were defunct for decades. My mother had three working legal names and two social security numbers in her name. The junior attorneys at the office did the backbreaking work to tackle her stockpile of stock certificates with fortitude and tenacity. The estate opened and closed successfully and relatively quickly. When I uncovered even more unclaimed properties for her years later, they helped me re-open the estate, process the transactions, and close the estate in a very timely manner. Suggestions for stomaching any difficult estates with any law firm: * Be accessible. * Be willing to do the legwork to drive down to sign papers or pick up/drop off documents. * Ask lots of questions early, then trust the team to do their job. * Any law firm that discourages you from active engagement in setting up an estate — “Sit back; we’ll do everything” — is a red flag. Active collaboration with me as the client is why I give my strongest positive recommendation to the Law Office of Ralph W. Powers.

I have been dealing with Mr. Powers and his associates for over 10 years now and haven't lost a case yet. They truly care about each client! He has handled a variety of issues for me from clients not paying, customers filing frivolous lawsuits, will and trust matters and even a real estate problem. Before meeting ask if an upfront fee for discussing situation. When we went was not informed but after discussing informed a fee. We were coming to decide if we wanted his help.
