Attorney Jessica Charles is a force to be reckoned with in the Family law community. I was overseas in Africa and got stuck there for over a year due to the Covid19 pandemic and international flight restrictions to the US. I was scheduled to appear by Zoom to defend my case however my instinct told me to look for an attorney somewhere in Upper Marlboro, MD, the courthouse being located there. I found Ms. Jessica during my Google searches and behold she took my case with expediency despite the fact that I was 5,600 miles away in Africa. The outcome was excellent in my favor due to her professional representation and concise understanding of my case and my need for strong legal representation in my absence. I found Jessica Charles on Avvo and decided to hire her based on her previous reviews and I was not disappointed. This was my first time hiring a lawyer so I did not know what to expect but Jessica made me feel really comfortable. Most lawyers can be stuck up or stand-offish but with her, it felt like talking to a friend. She was personable and reassuring and made sure that I understood everything throughout the entire process step by step, like a "Custody for Dummies" guide. I would recommend Jessica to anyone.

I saw Jessica when I was in fear for my life and she ensured me that my safety was number one and that she would help me every step of the way. I was not an easy client but she was always patient and got back to me the best she could. I was able to settle my divorce and not have it go to trial.
