Torrey was the attorney handling our closing (in MA it is required to have a lawyer handle this). She was terrific from the start—answering questions, explaining the process and preparing the mound of documentation requiring signatures on the closing date. The people at the Touchstone offices were very welcoming and gave us a bottle of champagne and a confetti shower when things were complete. It was a first class experience from start to finish.

If I could pick a negative star I would for the huge surprise the day of closing when I had already moved out of my house and sitting in a hotel far out of state to have to eat the buyers commission as a parting gift as well as my own agents commission. Went from a 3% commission to a 5% as a complete surprise. This was never explained properly. So much for having an attorney looking out for "my interests". Not a happy experience for anyone I'm sure. Beware and be very careful about the lack of transparency going on these days as relates to the commissions that get turned into seller fees!!! Buyer and seller beware is fair warning !!!!!
