Lets begin by saying THANK YOU J. You went above and beyond for my case and that's truly appreciated. To give the expecting public a quick reference of my case. I was charged with some serious offenses for which anyone would have looked at 20+ years on federal prision due to bad management in a company (the change their name after the incident) that intended to use me as an escape goat. Gratefully I acquired on of the best upcoming attorneys and his hunger for winning match my hunger of staying free for my kids. If you feel like life its throwing you hard ball let him catch it for you I PROMISE YOU he will deliver. As he said "there's no such thing as a perfect argument"...but he will create a perfect one for your case. Thank you once again J YOU DID IT !!!!

Jason is the best most amazing lawyer!!! He represented me and I am more than pleased with him. He is smart, professional, he cares, and was amazingly aggressive with the way he handled and went about everything to get the best outcome! Jason is making a big and well known name for himself, and in my opinion I don’t think most lawyers are on his level. Thank you so much for everything Jason! I wouldn’t hesitate to hire and have you represent me again for anything! You are the best of the best!!!!

Steve helped me through the purchase of my new home. I appreciated his patience with me through the process and found his advice to be invaluable. I had heard stories about how long closings can take but found Steve to be extremely efficient in the process. I found him very knowledgeable about the entire process and would not hesitate to use him again - and recommend that others do as well!

Steve has always been there for me, no matter what question I have. I asked him to be my Lawyer almost 3 years ago, after my father died. He did the estate, and then helped me set up a LLC., he also did a closing on a house for us. He is very well rounded and I trust him.

Stephen Withers helped us to draft and execute our Wills, Trusts and Healthcare Proxies. He was extremely thorough, professional and responsive throughout the entire process. Our knowledge of these documents was elementary, and he took the extra time to make sure we understood each document's content and purpose. We would highly recommend this skilled attorney!

Mr. Lorincz understood the approach that I wanted to take and what I valued most, and applied it to his overall strategy. He was available whenever I needed him, and performed well in and out of the court room. He was steady in his demeanor, intelligent in his analysis, and consistent with his approach to the case. I cared enormously about my case so I did a great deal of research on my own. Paul accepted all of it, sorted through it and was very wise with what he chose to utilize and what he set aside for backup information. Overall, I was extremely satisfied, not just with the outcome, but with his ability to reflect my stance and values in his representation. I would strongly recommend him to anyone.

Attorney Paul F. Lorincz has served as my personal attorney for twenty years. Paul first represented me during my divorce at the recommendation of a close family member, and later worked with me on various issues including estate and employment law. Attorney Lorincz is a consummate professional - caring, articulate, thoroughly prepared, and impeccable in his presentation. I highly recommend Paul F. Lorincz's legal services.

I have total confidence in Att. Paul Lorincz. All of his work is thorough, whether it is following the paper trail of a corporation or going before a zoning board. He has a calming affect on his clients. I referred a colleague to him, who was going through a messy divorce and needed to change attorneys. After she spoke with Paul the first time, she felt totally at ease. The divorce was completed within the time frame indicted, without the stress she had experienced, and to her satisfaction. Paul always has his clients best interest in mind, and his ego will not prevent him to settle a case, rather going to trial. We have a saying between us, " The only clients that want their day in court are those that have never been."

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Attleboro, Massachusetts?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
