I got arrested when I went to court for another matter. They held me on a 58A for dangerousness. Danielle Chattin came on 2 days notice and presented an extremely compelling argument. There was no evidence of a crime even being committed but they held me anyway based on my previous record from 16 years ago. I got locked up but she filed the appeal within a few days. At my appeal hearing in superior, they tried to stall and say they didn't have all the evidence. She was prepared with everything and I went home that day with no bail. She and Stephen Neyman agreed to see the matter through at a favorable price. I highly recommend Stephen Neyman Law. He has helped my family and I tremendously and I appreciate everything he and Danielle have and continue to do.

It was the worst day in my life, the day I read the charges on that piece of paper; criminal charges were being filed against me; me who had never been in trouble before in my life. My first thought was that I need a lawyer, but I needed someone really, really good and someone who would be sympathetic and understanding of my situation. I was a single parent, new to the city, who made a very bad decision. My searches led me to Benjamin Duggan. He spent over an hour on the phone with me (at no cost) on our initial phone call. I was emotional and scared and told him my account of the story. Terrified was an understatement. I had already spoken with the police; not knowing any better, and probably already said a lot I shouldn’t have said. Ben reassured me that he could help me and we could see how to fix things moving forward. I could tell that he would care about me and about my case. I immediately knew he was the best choice I could make. I consider myself to be knowledgeable and to know what to say, but in the forth coming high stress situations I would face in court, there was absolutely no way I could articulate what he said, in the confident manner or timing that he said it. Almost every month for a year I had a court date and each one seemed to be more stressful and mentally and emotionally draining than the previous. Ben answered every email and every phone call from me (and there were many) in a timely manner; he put my mind at ease and somehow made me feel “better” each time I spoke with him. It was a long year and I spent it worrying, stressing, and agonizing over the situation I had created and what would become my ultimate fate. Meanwhile I continued to work and “stay out of trouble” and tried to be the best person I could be moving forward. My final court date came and I ended up receiving the best sentence I could possibly have imagined. While maintaining privacy, I will tell you that this horrible situation can now be put far behind me and I can continue on with a happy life as Ben had reassured me many times. Although I will not ever need Ben again in this capacity (I’m staying far from trouble), he is the first person I would call if I were ever the victim or needed other legal help. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing representation and cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Benjamin Duggan.

Very helpful in speedy resolution!

I was party to a criminal case involving a failed business, loss of investor funds, and payment of restitution. I had never had any previous experience with criminal proceedings prior to this case. I contacted Attorney Duggan regarding my situation, and he was able to meet with me at his office soon thereafter. The initial consultation was both relaxed and professional. He put me at ease while I explained my situation. He explained my options and the premise of my defense, and he made me feel very comfortable. His knowledge, expertise, and experience was on full display. I retained him as my attorney at the conclusion of our meeting. The case proceeded in much the same way Attorney Duggan had planned and laid out. Multiple court dates, document requests and statements, and multiple motion filings were necessary. Throughout the process, Attorney Duggan kept in regular communication, was always available when I needed to speak with him, and I always felt he was in control of the proceeding. The decision of the court and final disposition of the case were exactly what we expected and were hoping for. I could not be happier with the result. Attorney Duggan's retainer and fee structure were extremely reasonable and transparent, and his representation and legal acumen were exemplary. I would not hesitate in the least to retain Attorney Duggan in the future should the need ever arise again. He was outstanding. Simply put, excellent legal representation.

I was referred to Ben by an excellent lawyer friend of mine with whom I've worked in the past (unrelated to anything criminal) and have known for many years. I trust that lawyer deeply and his opinion means a great deal to me, so when he indicated that he could represent me but- as a friend and a lawyer- felt that Ben was the better choice, I felt like he was setting his ego aside to make sure I got the best representation for my case. I was in a terrible situation and facing serious consequences for what I felt was doing the right thing after being put into an extremely difficult position. The overall stress leading up to court was bad enough, never mind the possibility of a criminal record and things going from bad to horrific. Ben was direct, but not callous in his approach. He explained very plainly but thoroughly what was going to happen, what we were going to do, and what we could do next if things didn't pan out in round one. He was compassionate and understanding, but it was his competence and confidence that did a great deal to help ease the tremendous anxiety I felt at the time. Despite having very little time to prepare, we were able to get everything sorted out. Instead of worrying about future court dates, fees, and a permanently tarnished record, I was allowed to move on with my life. Lawyers don't come cheap- especially not the good ones- but the legal fees were far less than I expected to pay and worth every penny. I'm extremely thankful for the counsel provided, both legal and personal, and hope anyone who reads this seriously consider hiring Ben Duggan to help them navigate out of legal stormy seas.

From the moment I made contact with the office, and received a call back within minutes from Stephen Neyman himself, I knew that I would be retaining him to represent my husband. My husband's case was 20 years old, he plead guilty to a misdemeanor because he was improperly advised and misrepresented all those years ago. He did not know the language, and was just scared. Although at all times he maintained his innocence, he was told that he would be better off pleading guilty to the misdemeanor, and move on. He prepared a strong case, and was very well prepared. He gave my husband back his peace of mind, and my family will always be grateful to him for this. Stephen is a great lawyer. He knows the ins and outs of the court system, and knows how to use this to his clients benefit. He always responds to any communication as soon as he is able to. And he cares.
