Being a professional I was very concerned about what would appear on possible background checks after a dismissed criminal case against me. I hired Greg after consulting numerous other lawyers, there was no question that he was the most knowledgeable atty in this field. There were several errors in my FBI record (where all arrested people end up regardless of outcome) and Greg got the corrections done effectively and was very responsive/communicative and professional throughout the process. I highly recommend Attorney Greg Johnson. Greg represented me for a DUI that I was accused of. Due to extenuating circumstances (my changing lawyers etc) my case kept getting continued for over 3 years until Atty. Johnson brought my case to trial. Steve Topazio is the best criminal defense lawyer in Boston. Period. I got myself into a bad situation and was being sued for over 300k. I must have called every law office in Boston trying to find the best attorney for my situation. After dozens of calls and conversations, I reviewed my call notes in order to make a decision. There was something about talking to Steve that made me call him again and hire him. Long story short, in 1 phone call the following day, he got the suit dropped to 150k. Pretty good right? It gets better. Within about 2-3 weeks of negotiating on my behalf, he got the suit down to an unbelievable $7,500! That's about 2.5% of the initial suit. The man is a master at what he does. You'd be a fool to not hire him asap if you get in trouble.

I was charged with first offense OUI - Liquor. This was my first criminal charge I have ever received so naturally I was horrified & nervous. The occupation I hold requires a driver's license & a clean background thus a criminal conviction would result in termination / loss of pension. Greg is quite personable and actually listens to his client in thoughts or ideas on the case as opposed to blowing them off which my first attorney was doing (I ended up firing him mid way through and selecting Greg to continue). I hired Greg to defend me due to the good reviews online and a verbal positive review from an ADA I know that worked in the same court system as Greg when he was an ADA. ATTY Johnson came very well prepared. His stature in the courtroom was tactful yet spontaneous. Any new information / surprise responses from the police officer or ADA , Greg was able to retort with ease. Also, Greg did an excellent job sizing up the jurors on the jury selection as he appears to be simply good at reading people. Additionally, he selected and prepped an expert witness which was monumentally beneficial towards my case. Lastly, his closing argument was artfully put together and well spoken which ultimately pushed towards a NOT GUILTY verdict from a 6 person jury box whom deliberated for all of 10 minutes. Greg is a fantastic attorney. Very professional, well spoken, and generally a nice guy. Response time was practically instant. I was summoned as a witness and did not want to testify. The DA had already called me in to question me and I did not have a lawyer at the time. They informed me that I would be required to attend the trial no matter what. I met with him for the first time the day before the trial to discuss the summons letter. His confidence put my stress at ease.
