“Did someone tell you to wear those glasses.” To start, Stephen is an extremely empathetic person who truly cares about his clients. He’s incredibly responsive, which is an understatement. I’ve sent him hundreds of emails, and he responded or called me within 10 minutes, in response to every single one. I had the honor of having him represent me for over three years on two separate, very serious, felony cases. Both cases went to trial, and I was fully acquitted on both. The odds were stacked against me, but Stephen stepped up to the plate and threw everything imaginable at these cases. He surprised me every step of the way, from arraignment to the jury reading "not guilty" in one case. In the next case, despite unfavorable rulings heading into trial, he obtained a directed verdict of not guilty at the rest of the state's case. We hadn’t even presented our defense, and it was over—quite shocking in the best way imaginable. My freedom was fully restored, and this nightmare was over, just like that. Moreover, I only stepped foot in the courthouse for the trials. Stephen was successful in handling the entire pretrial process, including arraignment, virtually, although he was physically present in court for every hearing. I’ll also say that I never leave reviews and don’t really trust them. I was a little skeptical of all the excellent reviews of Stephen. However, after having this man save my life and reading the reviews again, they are all 100% spot on and accurate. It’s amazing how many people hold such high regard for him—from the prosecutors and judges to the court clerks. If you are ever in need of a defense team, do not contact anyone other than Stephen. He is an expert in all aspects of the criminal defense process. I wouldn’t trust anyone other than Stephen to take a case from arraignment to trial. He is a virtuoso that knows the law and will protect your rights every step of the way. He will amaze you at trial. He is truly a walking and breathing expert in his field; it is his life. His passion and enthusiasm are unmatched. Stephen, I know I could be overwhelming at times with the amount of information I put on you, but you handled it with ease and professionalism.
