I retained Morgan and Morgan the end of March 2022. The communication between myself and the paralegal that was assigned to my case, was terrible. I could not count on her getting back with me in a reasonable amount of time. Sometimes she did, but most of the times, she did not. I called and texted four or five times and waited two weeks for her to get back with me at one point. I never knew what was happening with my case unless I was able to talk to her and ask her. I don't know if that is how they do things there, that the client has to call them to find out what is going on with their case. The second paralegal that was assigned to me as my case progressed, was a little better at communicating. I couldn't count on her either but she was more informative and personable than my first paralegal. My real problem with Morgan and Morgan is that a doctor suggested a procedure. I talked to my first paralegal about it. The procedure was 32,000.00. I wanted to make sure I would NOT get stuck with that bill. After talking for awhile, she had assured me, I would NOT & that it looked better for my case. It was not guaranteed to work but I decided to have it done. I found out later, I was in fact responsible for the money. I fought at the time to sign my settlement papers, to have that charge taken off because she told me wrong. I then found out she neglected to tell me something else about me signing papers that legally bound them to take the money out of my settlement. The Orthopedic Center & the surgery center reduced the amount I owed to 21,000.00. So, because their employee told me the wrong information & failed to tell me important information, I lost 21,000.00 of my settlement money. They asked the employee about it but she of course didn't remember telling me anything like that. It took 16 months for me to get my settlement & it was an extremely stressful time.
