Marcia Mavrides is a highly professional attorney in family law, and I highly recommend her. I had a tough divorce with child custody issues that lasted a year and I am so happy Marcia was by my side who dealt with the legalities of my divorce. She is the ‘leader’ in family law divorces that deal with issues from child support and custody to finances and assets. Marcia also focuses on mediation where she helped me and my spouse talk through our issues to try to come to a reasonable resolution rather than going into litigation. Marcia was very patient and sensitive to the issues that were important to me and for my child’s behalf. She was extremely detailed oriented in my final separation agreement that addressed complex areas. In the court hearings, I noticed that Marcia has gained a huge respect from her peers, court personnel and our judge. She is very professional and very compassionate about her work and especially my case. She was always prepared at my court hearings and remarkably detailed in my divorce documentation needed for court. During many of our four way meetings with my spouse and his attorney, Marcia had a great way of rationalizing an issue where she calmed down the other counsel and my spouse many times. This helped us come to a resolution, close each issue and move on to the next issue, and she documented the resolution in my final separation agreement. Marcia is an outstanding attorney and I mean this in many ways because of her fairness, ethics, and toughness in court, friendly personality, and hard work she did for me. She truly cared about me and my case and what was important to me. She is also very ethical and looked after me, her client’s needs. Also want to mention that her staff is so friendly, thorough and organized with the documentation that was required for my divorce and meeting conferences. I also had one of her attorneys in her office, Jennifer Silva, work on my final separation agreement and represented me at my court hearings. Marcia and her attorneys/staff are a great team. During the end of 2014 and early 2015 Marcia Mavrides and her team helped me through the process of settling a divorce. It became more of a drawn out process, because of disagreement with how to consider marital history and assets, and Mavdides Law ably communicated with all parties and negotiated along the way. They knew when to compromise and when to stand firm. In the end both sides were able to settle, and developed a separation agreement everyone felt was fair and reasonable. I was very happy with the advice and support I received from Mavrides Las along the way, and how they helped settle this divorce.

There are many rough and tumble personalities out there, and few shining stars who truly know their craft and practice law the way it was meant to be. From the onset when we retained Marcia, we knew we hired someone with great integrity, wisdom and class. Truly, if you are fortunate enough to have her on your side, you will be supported and feel quite relaxed at a most stressful time of your life. Marcia, Liz and the team do things right and they fight for justice. From the first meeting we established the goals and results desired in the case. She and Liz dotted every "I" and crossed every "t" in addressing some very delicate and complex matters in the custody of my daughter, always keeping in mind what was best for her future. No stone was left unturned. The final agreement she put together for settlement was brilliant and helped avoid additional and unnecessary litigation. Marcia's goal is not racking up dollars for her firm.....she cares about what is right and she is very efficient in getting the results you set out for. The team was always available to answer our questions and concerns and support us in any way needed! Marcia was retained at the very end of a long contentious case and brought the results other counsel could not attain. Our only regret is that we didn't meet her sooner and have her on our team from the beginning. She was a blessing!!

I highly recommend, without reservation, Marcia Mavrides as a divorce attorney to any woman or man seeking a divorce. Marcia took over my divorce for me last April, after much delay had been caused by my estranged spouse’s attorney while I employed my original lawyer for two years. I went to see Marcia for a 2nd opinion in April of this year, but decided after our first meeting, to hire her. Marcia’s knowledge of the law was immediately evident. She made me feel 100% comfortable as she explained every nuance in every possible divorce scenario related to my case. From the moment I hired her, she made me feel that she and I were partners in this process. She was extremely realistic and because of her honesty and willingness to do the best thing for me personally, she supported my initiative to design a settlement agreement with my husband. Marcia and her team worked tirelessly to tweak an agreement that would be fair, without a lengthy drawn-out divorce. As a result, my divorce was completed within a matter of months instead of a matter of years. The thing I love most about Marcia, is that she truly listens, considers what you are saying, and responds to it with your needs completely in mind. She does not speak “leagalise” but if she must, she paraphases any legal terms into layman’s terms so that any client can understand. Each of Marcia’s in-office associates work in tandem with Marcia, so that each party was completely familiar with my case at all times. For example, Marcia asked me to cc each of her staff so that they were all on the same page regarding my case, keeping everyone in the loop. The office staff was consistently kind and polite, and would run down to pick up materials from me in front of the State Street, Boston office so I would not have to pay to park. Marcia and her team of Jen, Liz and Alana are a dynamo team. I am extremely grateful I found Marcia when I did.

The divorce process is a life changing experience. The range of emotions that overwhelmed me took me a while to integrate into my new life. I have now been divorced for 4 years and my life is good. The court filings and court appearances were handled by the Lawyers in a professional manner. Even though I wish some of the outcomes were different, I feel that the Mavrides Group provided very knowledgeable and empathetic services.
