This was clearly a David and Goliath confrontation. Only the stone in our sling was Adam Sherwin. Our home has been in my wife's family for five generations beginning with her grandfather who was a casualty of the Argonne Forest in WW1 and who returned to this beloved home that became his refuge for his final days. We had been trying to get a modification on our loan for years, only to be denied at every turn even though our verified income was adequate for approval. We never spoke to the same person twice, submitted pages of documentation multiple times without consequence , all showing their intention of causing so much frustration that we would just walk away and not fight. We survived four eviction notices and three foreclosures. The fourth foreclosure would have been the final blow had it not been for Adam Sherwin who found an error in the process, filed a law suit, and in the end brought the intimidation from this behemoth of fiduciary inefficiency to an agreement that kept us in our home. A word of advice to anyone in this situation, NEVER go it alone. We found Adam to be a man of high integrity, extremely knowledgeable in legal matters and brutally honest when needed. Adam is terrific. He did a great job helping us to resolve a family stalemate regarding a vacation property on the Cape which was jointly and commonly owned by 8 families. He was able to help us navigate the process, as difficult as it was, while avoiding a Petition to Partition.

Adam played a critical role in settling a long-running dispute and exit strategy between eight family members who wanted to divest their shares of a summer home which was jointly owned. After 2.5 years of fruitless family debates, Adam was hired to successfully negotiate an equitable and fair settlement for those members of the family who wanted out. He was polite and responsive and fought for the settlement we were entitled to while avoiding a formal Petition to Partition and all the expenses and fees associated with that process.
