Knowledgeable, experienced, and hard-working lawyer who can effectively advocate for clients
“I have soul custody of my two daughters because of this informed, experienced, hard working professional!”
2
Provides direct and candid advice, which some may find refreshing
“What some may call rude, others may find refreshing level of candor and directness.”
3
Willing to go the extra mile for clients and their loved ones
“Jennifer skills goes way beyond her education she is an attorney willing to go the extra mile for your loved ones, this is just a demonstration of the beauty she portrays in the court room.”
Cons
1
Extremely expensive, with charges for every little thing
“She was very expensive and not worth all the money we paid. Her and her associates charge outrageously for every little thing.”
2
Lack of communication and care for clients, especially when they can no longer afford the high costs
“These attorneys only care about money and they never seemed to care about the actual case or the client. It seemed to me like they string clients along and do a lot of unnecessary work to milk them for every penny they can get. At the end, when you need them the most they abandon you because you can no longer give them the outrageous amount of money they want.”
3
Unprofessional and rude behavior
“When I was going through my divorce, I was in a vulnerable place. I had a lot of trouble with communication and confidence due to what I was going through. Jennifer's only concern is money. She doesn't care about her clients and she was unprofessional and rude.”

Always a good experience for property transactions. We have had four transactions with Atty. Tully in the last six years and are planning another.

Terrible experience! Expensive, Rude and she dropped me as soon I ran out of money instead of working with me some lawyers do pro bono. She just didn’t care and it’s sad I wasted my money and time.

$350 for 10 minutes of advice. Overlooked a critical fact in agreement. Conflicting information from other institutions to resolve the issue. I have no doubts she knows her stuff, slow her down, take the full hour you pay for, make a list. The aggressiveness does not come across as consultative, one does feel rushed. Have another person on the call with you who is not in a fragile state.

Four stars are due to limited interaction, but helpful. What some may call rude, others may find refreshing level of candor and directness. My brief consultation with Attorney Thorn led me to believe that she is very sharp, knows how to narrow in on what matters, but she will not sugar coat it for you. What I've been told about her from other attorneys is that if you are facing a ruthless and maniacal other party's counsel, and find yourself out gunned, JAT is the person to hire. And I wish I had.

We have had numerous opportunities to work with Attorney Condino and find her to be extremely knowledgeable in many areas. She is always responsive and provides us with our options in a respectful, professional manner. She consistently takes the time to ensure that we understand the process every step of the way, explaining things in a very thorough, concise manner. Her pleasant and thoughtful demeanor alleviates much of the stress inherent in legal proceedings.

My experience with Attorney Linda Condino has been wonderful. She is an intelligent, proficient, lady that is great at what she does. She closed two real estate deals for me and other legalities. Linda's knowledge and professionalism are only surpassed by her Smile and Warmth. I highly recommend this strong lady for any real estate transaction or other legal advice

Filing bankruptcy can be difficult and sometimes embarrassing. Attorney O'Neil and made sure that I was comfortable with the process and explained all the parts thoroughly. He did not make me feel the ashamed or embarrassed. Attorney O'Neil kept abreast of each step in the process. Even after a short sabbatical, Attorney O'Neil worked tirelessly to get my case done in a timely fashion. I would recommend him to anyone. I definitely plan on using his services in the future.

I represent a homeless shelter in New Hampshire and called Lance out of the blue seeking guidance for a client facing eviction. Lance was extremely pleasant, kind, and informative. If I could give him six stars, I would.

So so grateful my best friend recommended Attorney Chavin to me. Haven’t needed to hire at this point, because we aren’t there yet. But definitely will if we have to. We’ve only consulted thus far, but his Bio is 100% true. His number one concern is my well-being which not only makes him a great attorney in general but a special one as he cares about how you feel. It’s especially helpful for someone dealing with a lot of trauma from the situation. (landlord tenant dispute). I feel extremely safe being advised by him, a lot of lawyers do not care about you as a human, when every client needs that! Because nobody is talking to a lawyer without something bad happening to them and they’re hurting. He is refreshing, witty, knowledgeable & validating while still being realistic with your best interests. Thank you so much for your continued support on the matter Lance, and for making me feel safe in your hands.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
