Message says, leave a message and they'll call you back, not to call over and over again. I'd recommend getting another lawyer because one treating you like you don't matter is not who you want advocating for you. After several calls over two weeks time with only one call back from the office, it's pretty clear that she does not need any more customers.

She dragged my case to court even though I didn't want to go. At every critical juncture she used the stress to soak me for more money. She was sloppy and unprepared, cavalier and unreachable. After she lost my case she demanded another retainer if I wanted to talk to her about anything. No thanks, byeeeeee.

Would not work for her again. I’ve since learned after working for her that she has a high turnover for legal assistants, and I get it now. My 3rd week on the job she was in a pissy mood one Monday morning and berating every mistake I’d made since starting (I was brand new) I was struggling with severe depression at the time, and I started to tear up. She threatened to fire me for crying when she saw. She left for court and I typed a quick resignation email and fled. She never even followed up. That’s literally how much she cares about employees. Not a single word ever heard from her again. I certainly dodged a bullet. Was paid minimum wage (maybe 50 cents over) with no benefits despite the fact that she was raking in $$$ in retainer fees. Enough to take a whole bunch of children on a cruise, but not enough to pay a living wage. I didn’t answer the phone with the right greeting “script” even though I was perfectly polite. She got angry because I told clients she was with someone when she wasn’t and told me not to lie to them. Yet if I simply said she was “unavailable” they would push and push me to transfer to her, since I would have the same people calling five times, gave her the messages, and she chose to ignore them. If I said she was “with someone” they were less demanding. So basically I wasn’t supposed to give her the phone, but somehow also deflect people that demanded to speak with her. I work somewhere else now for twice the pay, half the stress, and for someone a lot less bitter.

Unprepared, unprofessional and uncaring. All about the $$, flashing big diamond rings and complaining about not having time to spend in her heated swimming pool because of having to work on my case-- which she proceeded to bungle by not developing any proactive narrative. She couldn't care less about clients. It's all about her cozy relationships with other attorneys and grabbing cash from clients at every juncture. On the eve of trial she demanded an additional $25k to go forward, knowing full well I had no option but to pay as demanded. She soaked me for another $10k after trial to write proposed findings, which *I* ended up having to research and write because she never did it! She lost after all that.
