My wife and I are retired and moved from another state to Massachusetts three years ago. Jason helped me navigate what could have been a very complicated probate process. Someone at the local funeral home recommended Family Legal Partners to me, and I am so thankful they did! I wanted to post a review for anyone else that may benefit from help during a stressful time. I won't go into too many details, but a few of my complications included: - my sister and her husband died within 10 days of each other - I live across the country (in Oregon) - this happened right at the start of the COVID pandemic Jason helped me through the process and find the best way to navigate things, openly explaining options/tradeoffs along the way. Jason did an estate plan and wills for me and my wife when we lived in Massachusetts. Then we decided to move to Indiana to be closer to our grandchildren. Jason suggested that I have an Indiana attorney check his work to ensure it was proper for Indiana. I followed his advice and my Indiana attorney paid him the highest complement. I first met with Attorney Jason Carrozza regarding estate planning seven months after my husband’s sudden death. During those first seven months, I had engaged two other attorneys, both of whom proved to be incompetent and/or generally incapable of grasping what I needed to be done. I was frustrated and discouraged when my accountant suggested I make an appointment with Jason. I placed great faith in my accountant’s judgement and his judgement proved sound. I was immediately impressed by Jason’s quiet demeanor and his ability to listen. He was calm and focused. I felt safe with him. I could ask a stupid question, maybe the same question two or three times, without ever once sensing judgement or annoyance. He was responsive to all emails and phone calls. He was quick to initiate contact with me if he didn’t understand exactly what I meant or wanted. In short, I always felt I mattered. That was really important to me. Through his sheer mastery of the field, his utter competency, he gave me the ability to make informed decisions in structuring my will and trust. He didn’t tell me what to do but rather said - if you do this, this is the outcome; if you do that, that is the outcome. No agenda on his part, just the facts. With these facts, I was able to make an informed decision based on my life circumstances and my values. In short, what was right for me. I felt his fees were incredibly reasonable. Knowing that I had already spent quite a bit on other attorneys, knowing that all of that work had to be redone, he was even more than reasonable. With confidence, I have recommended him to friends who were in difficult life circumstances knowing that they would be in good hands. Jason did my estate planning and helped me with a tricky contempt matter. He was at all times genuinely kind and helpful, quick to respond to all my questions, compassionate and patient when I was anxious, eagle-eyed and thorough when it came to legal provisions--and he did all this while helping me save money on legal costs. The quality services (Divorce, Custody of minor, Wills and setting up Estate Plan) I received at from Mr. Carrozza were remarkable. From the initial meeting, he was very responsive to my calls, questions, and concerns. All issues were handled professionally and timely. I've used Jason 3 times, soon to be a fourth. --1st hire: I'm a very hands on capable guy and willing to do the legwork if it can save me thousands. Jason offered both full service OR to advise and let me perform many of the errands/paralegal duties. In my divorce he understood my situation/desire, A ) reasonable spouses B) keep it civil with the kids best interest. At the time my salary was already stretched helping out my kids to maintain their routine activities of band and karate. Jason offered to act as my advisor when and where needed in dealing with my spouses attorney. In reviewing my spouses NISI he made suggestions to modify and request changes. Where they did not agree on some points, Jason informed me that I could fight to change it but most likely only he and the other lawyer would get any benefit, it would most likely just waste my funds. This advice saved me a lot of money and headache. --2nd hire was to assist with being an executor, again Jason offered me the option of doing a lot of the legwork to reduce paralegal fees etc. He also referred an excellent RE lawyer acquaintance. --3rd hire was to get my adult children emancipated so I could help them directly rather than through child support to my ex. Again he saved me on paralegal fees and errands. Now I will be returning to Jason to assist with estate planning. He's a honest professional who cares about his clients. Highly recommended whether you want him to provide full service OR like me, would rather take on some of the work to keep costs reasonable.
