Boyd & Boyd has been my “go to” estate planning service since my wife and I moved to the Cape in 2003. They took the time necessary to explain all our options and then originated a detailed estate plan for us. I have found them to be very professional, knowledgeable and competent. Most recently I needed a legal document necessary for refinancing my mortgage during the pandemic. Even though their staff was working from home they did the necessary research and provided the document in a very timely manner. They keep up to date with the many legal and financial changes that occur over time and encourage their clients review their estate plans in order to keep the plans current. Boyd & Boyd also conducts informative seminars from time to time for their clients. I recommend them very highly.

My wife and I relocated to MA after having lived our entire lives in NYS. We needed to re-establish our estate plan in accordance with MA law. Because we had multiple assets (IRA, personal, etc.) plus a complex family situation (multiple children and grandchildren), we chose B&B to help us because they were highly recommended for their expertise. We found this to be true and were generally pleased with the result. We had two reservations that kept us from assigning the highest rating. The first was the difficulty we had in understanding some of their communications. It was replete with legal terminology that was difficult to follow. We appreciate that our situation was complicated and that trust and estate law is, by its nature, complex. But our expectation was that a firm with a long history in the field would have determined an effective way to communicate with their clients. We struggled with this. The second was that they failed to address a family situation that we explained in our initial meeting. After attending a few seminars presented by Keats Boyd III, and his father, Keats Boyd, Jr (now deceased) we sat down with Keats (III) and began what is now 18 years of excellent estate planning support from a great team of experts. Keats and his team have prepared Revocable Trust, Revocable IRA Trust, Real Estate Trust, wills and other documents for us that promise optimum Estate and Income Tax savings when end-of-life events occur. He is also creator and Trustee of a Charitable Remainder Trust we created that has provided major tax savings over 15 years in distributions of the proceeds of a real estate sale back in 2006. I recommend the services of Boyd & Boyd to anyone having Estate Management and Planning needs. The expertise levels of Keats and this team are without qualification,.
