I am an attorney, but not with any particular knowledge of probate or estate law. I also have quasi-complicated needs due to re-marriage and children from both prior marriages. I brought him my problems and all my preconceived ideas about what my plan would look like. As a process: Joel listened to me; he thought about what I was really asking; he checked with me; then, consistently, answered the questions I really wanted to ask. He gave me a flexible plan, tailored to my needs and the needs of my people, and documentation which is direct, and simple to work with. And he continues to advise as I implement the plan. I would recommend Joel to anyone, including other attorneys, without reservation.

We attended a free, public lecture by Joel on the role of trusts in estate planning and were positively impressed by his knowledge and understandable presentation. We used our free consultation to find out more and signed on to have him prepare trusts for me and my wife. The process was straight-forward, with a flat fee, not billed hours. He also indicated a willingness to respond to questions we might have later, since, even with expert guidance, we found it difficult to understand the details of what we need to do. Joel was extremely easy to work with and we were able to create a will and living trust in just a few hours with him.
