I hired Alan to collect on a loan that was owed to me. The person had stopped responding to me and I had nowhere to turn. Alan was referred to me by my family attorney. Alan was able to get all of my money that was owed to me in a very short period of time. I have referred him to others as well. Glenn was fast and efficient at recovering a debt a US customer owed my Asia based company. We had no experience in US law and Glenn made everything go like clockwork.He recovered 100% of the money owed to us.

I hired Alan M. Cohen to pursue monies owed to our firm back in the early 200's. Alan obtained a judgment and the debtor went to prison on a criminal conviction. I had forgotten about the debt and the judgment over the years. Within the past year, however, the debtor was released from jail; Alan doggedly tracked him down and discovered he was earning money. Alan brought supplemental proceedings and obtained a court order directing the debtor to make payments. When he didn't make those payments, Alan went back to court and I received a partial settlement check last week, over 15 years or so after first retaining Alan. I am an attorney myself and consider myself to be very persistent. Alan, however, has taken the definition of determination and persistence to an entirely new level. Outstanding debt collection attorney. With interest, what was a fairly small judgment is not worth many times with the compounding of interest. Alan is, in my opinion, one of the most dogged, determined collection lawyer I have dealt with in the 42 years I have practiced law. First rate! Highly recommended.

He was unprofessional and did not contact me after determining to continue with a different candiate. He also tried to say the Suffolk University Applied Legal Studies Program did not adequately prepare it's students for the paralegal profession and asked inappropriate questions regarding past employment and names other than my references. Law firms all across Massachusetts send paralegals to the particular program I was apart of to help them out perform rival firms. It just would have been nice and appreciated for a phone call regarding the decision to go in a different direction. I also was top of my class and one of the best students in the program.
