Kate is an excellent attorney not only because she is smart, knowledgable and pays attention to the details, but because she makes the business of law (estate planning, etc.) personal. Even in business/practicing law, when one makes it personal - the level of care and feeling of comfort makes a difference. After putting it off longer than we should have, my husband and I finally decided to do our estate planning. We worked with Kate who did a fantastic job. She came to our home for the initial meeting and helped us think through all of the potential scenarios. She quickly sent us draft documents and a flow chart that made things easy to understand. After signing our wills and health care proxy forms, Kate’s office provided us with all of the necessary documents in an organized binder so that we or our loved ones could easily find the necessary information. She was so easy to work with and her advice gives me comfort that our assets are protected and our children will be well taken care of when the time comes. I can’t recommend Kate enough.

Kate first helped us with estate planning/wills after the birth of our son. Our situation was a little complicated and she gave us good options for our needs and took the time to explain it all to us as well. She has since helped us with other legal matters beyond her core areas with as much professionalism and attention to detail. I'm glad that we have Kate taking care if our legal matters.

My husband and I worked with Kate to set up an estate plan. The process of setting up an estate plan seemed so daunting at first and we really had no idea what to expect but working with Kate and Brier & Ganz was easy - and my husband and I both felt that she carefully listened to our needs, laid out some options and helped us make decisions that were right for our family. Before taking this on, I definitely did not understand how multi-layered this process is, and how important it is to hire someone who is experienced and able to walk you through each step. Kate was masterful at this, and she clearly broke down each issue and helped us make thoughtful and informed decisions. With Kate's caring and patient approach, the legal language in each document became easily comprehensible. The process never felt stressful or rushed. We could've asked for a better experience. Kate's intellect, warmth, and competence was so appreciated. We're so glad we hired her!

My husband and I were referred to Kate when we needed help with estate planning. Our situation was a little complicated, because we wanted to make sure that our young child and my mother would be taken care of in the event of disaster. Kate was incredibly patient in explaining details and laid out all of our options in a way that was thorough, but not overwhelming. We ended up setting up a trust as part of the estate planning process, as well as setting up a living will, power of attorney, etc., and she made the complicated process as easy as possible for us. I didn't expect estate planning to be quite such an emotional process, but it was, and Kate did an excellent job helping us navigate tricky issues with kindness and care. She's great at communicating by email and in person, and the time we spent with her was always really pleasant (not all lawyers are as fun to spend time with!). One reason I think that Kate is great with families is that she has strong family ties herself, so she understands how important it is to get estate planning right! You can tell she truly cares, and that means a lot when your family's future is on the line!

Upon the death of my father (second parental death) we were faced with the overwhelming task of settling an extremely complex estate. Kate and Perry provided outstanding legal and professional advice and consultation throughout the process. They were consistently responsive and always made themselves available by telephone, email, or in person. Both Kate and Perry explained the complexities of the estate in detail until all the information was understood completely.
