After going through a very contentious divorce with 2 other attorneys representing me, I was lucky enough to find Jared. He is the utmost professional, caring, compassionate and thorough. I have no doubt that everything he does to represent me, is done in my best interest. And as he has said frequently, no one wants to deal with a divorce attorney, but if you have to he is the one!

They don't come much better than Jared Wood--particularly in the area of family law, where it can be a crapshoot. Jared is very responsive, detail-oriented, knows the legal statutes inside and out, and most importantly...is driven by what's in your/your children's best interest rather than his bank account. He's a great listener, conscientious, and a pleasure to work with. He appears to be well-respected and well-liked among judges and clerks...and works well with all types of lawyers (including those that are erratic and very difficult to work with). This is essential if you're aiming to avoid court and reach a settlement. He is assertive and forceful, yet has the emotional intelligence to listen, pick up on subtleties, and adjust his approach to his clients. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Jared. I approached Jared few months ago for my divorce case and he was very welcoming and understanding of my situation. He is one of the very lawyers that offered me free consultation over the phone and in person. During this consultation he answered all my questions related to strategy and my case. he never even once said that we can discuss this after you retain me. I would recommend him to anyone. He is to the point, well versed and can be aggressive ( in a effective way).

Don't let his youth dissuade you. Jared Wood did an OUTSTANDING job on my divorce and not because he buried my ex-wife's attorney with legal BS but because he truly tried to work out an amicable settlement. The divorce was my fault (which I freely admit) & I had no desire to punish my ex-wife any further, though there were multiple points in which Jared let me know in no uncertain terms I was being more generous than I had a legal responsibility to be. He was on top of dealing with the MA Divorce Reform Act of 2011 & more than once had to explain to his counterpart the changes in divorce law that impacted the settlement in our favor. As to reponsiveness, we handled the majority of our communication via email. If he took until the next day to respond to a question or comment of mine he would apologize for his tardiness. As for his firm in general, I know my case was small potatos. They always treated me with dignity & like I was the most important client they had. I can't say enough for & about him.
