It is pretty clear that all these one star reviews are from the same person. I and others I know have consulted with and hired Lana for multiple employment matters assisting employees over recent years and she is fantastic. She has taken on only ONE case of the "type" shown as a one star review. Therefore, It is impossible to have 4 of these "cases" being one star. All other other reviewers rate her 5 stars, which is consistent with my experience.

Went to Ms. Sullivan for help with a case in Suffolk court. She was very disorganized. I thought that was just because she was having a bad day and worked alone. After hiring her I realized what a disaster. The filings were late and incomplete. Cost me lot of Money. I would not recommend.

Facing a situation of retaliation and discrimination at my workplace, I was given Lana's contact information. Lana responded promptly and frequently. She provided me excellent, immediately-actionable advice with numerous helpful suggestions to protect myself. She was warm and generous with her time and ideas. She rattled off relevant statutes easily and explained how they would affect my case. I'm holding on to her name and number--I will also be recommending her to others in similar situations.

Calm, cool and collected. I went through 3 attorneys during a 3 year battle that went the distance. In the end, Nick succeeded in Court resulting in a better outcome than what I had agreed for years earlier. Opposing counsel came in with a high-priced team and self proclaimed greatest status. Unlike Nick, she used my child as a pawn and her theatrical, dishonest approach did not go over well in Court. Don't let his Frat-Boy appearance fool you (a term given to him by another disgruntled opposing counsel). Nick was honest, articulate and most of all put my child first. Although I did not always feel he responded as I would have liked (his biggest challenge was dealing with an overly detailed oriented client, me), I cannot argue with the bottom line. His knowledge of the law resulted in success on issues I thought were lost. His team is wonderful and his fees fair (I was outspent 2:1). I recommend settling peacefully with a mediator, but if that is not possible, Nick is a great attorney who can represent you with dignity.

I hired Lana in 2015 to assist me in a legal dispute I filed a year later with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination aka MCAD.. I am so fortunate that I selected her as my representative in my legal dispute over termination from a prior job. She handled a complex case from a huge bank, that had thousands of emails, and documents, graphs and research during a brutal discovery with years of deposotions. She discovered the discrepancies with the defenses approach, highlighted when the transcripts of defense witnesses testified to matters that would be seen as false statements when compared to bank emails and communications in discovery. She during this period of time, did make a change from Newton Law Firm to work independently. Lana was personable and real as a lawyer, and cared and devoted sleepless nights preparing for this case. During the summary judgement period of time in 2019 the Suffolk County Superior Court had favored with Lana and myself the plaintiff that we are granted a trial by jury. My favorite judge summary judgment to trial granted statement was" business played a manipulative shell game to hide the discriminatory intent". I was awarded trial, therefore a settlement where they are finally being serious about money happens for close to a half million was agreed upon. And since their was a non disclosure agreement for the defense to protect their reputation, that's why this explanation is vague. Lana works with her client to brainstorm strategies even if it means further discussion over phone several evenings. Lana was an incredible lawyer and if I selected someone else, I may have never basicly won my case, as much as it was settled, was because she defeated them and got a trial they should have lost anyway. Her legal opponent is on some Super Lawyer recognition. Thing is I'm a transgender women, and it certainly was a great client to lawyer chemistry. She listens, and knows how to defend her client and find the flaws in the defense. 110% worth atleast a consultation.

If you are looking for a divorce lawyer, I highly recommend Nick. He is an excellent, hard-working, and highly intelligent lawyer, based on my own personal experience and outcome, he clearly knows what he is doing and was my greatest asset while going through a very painful divorce. He did his best with my case and was very proactive allowing me to focus on reshaping my life knowing he had my best interests in mind. Here are three things I liked most about Nick and his firm. Nick and his team quickly understood my case, answered all my questions, took proactive actions, and provided the right guidance to me. Nick added precise and clearly written clauses in the divorce agreement regarding my daughter’s educational costs. Nick went above and beyond even working during the weekend to ensure that everything was finalized before the divorce date and so the case would not drag out longer than needs be. Going through a divorce is a painful experience, but having someone as professional and diligent as Nick supporting you, making sure the agreement is fair, speedy and well-communicated made it that much more bearable.
