iN THE AFTERMATH OF FILING A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE COMPLAINT AGAINST THE MAN I LIVED WITH I RECEIVED A 72 HOUR NOTICE OF EVICTION FROM THE HOME WE SHARED. Needing an attorney is typically not a pleasant experience...sort of like going to the dentist. Despite the circumstances that led me to seek out legal help a little over a year ago, I truly can't say enough good things about Attorney Ray Dinsmore. I know Mr. Dinsmore is a respected lawyer because as we walked throughout the court building several judges and clerk magistrates smiled and said hello when they saw him. A good lawyer will always urge parties to settle, which Mr. Dinsmore did. In my case my adversary refused to settle so we had our case heard by a clerk magistrate and we won. Mr. Dinsmore knows his area of law, explained it to me and let me know ahead of time what to expect. I trust Mr. Dinsmore and would highly recommend his services.

We hired Attorney Ray Dinsmore for an issue with our previous landlord who was unethically and, as we found out, illegally taking money out of our security deposit. We felt helpless, unsure of the law, and worried that our case wouldn't hold up, or that it would cost too much. We were so lucky to find Ray! He was prompt in getting back to us, and updated us throughout our case. He was friendly and encouraged us to call him by his first name, which put us at ease. He also outlined what we could and couldn't ask for; he didn't promise outlandish results, just reasonable ones. He translated Legalese into regular English, so we knew our rights and what our plan was. Ray is not only a great communicator, but an excellent listener. We felt heard. We felt cared for. When you're in the midst of what feels unfair, it feels so good to be heard. Ray was generous with his time, and incredibly reasonable in his fee. He didn't end up charging us for all the time he spent writing our unreasonable landlords who refused to communicate by phone. He was quietly tenacious with our requests, and dedicated. He was respectful, patient, and determined. The fact is, Attorney Ray Dinsmore gave us hope -- not just for our case, (which we won) -- but about the legal system, in general.
