Lauren is an exceptional lawyer.. She was very informative of the process and explained it very simply to me, she did all of the paperwork and did all the court appearances, ... should you ever need to hire a lawyer to help you navigate the confusing process of workers' compensation or disability, i would highly recommend you call Keetches Law and ask for Lauren

Attorney Van Iderstine was absolutely wonderful! She was so quick and efficient with everything. If insurance was taking too long to approve a treatment she was immediately on it. She quickly got my benefits back after insurance was icing me out for a month, she referred me to fantastic doctors that actually helped me and she was just overall so easy to work with and a really kind person. I would recommend her to anyone facing workman’s comp troubles like I did!

On 4/29/2022 I was injured on my job thru no fault of my own as I was leaving to go outside both doors opened when I started to walk out the rubber mat peeled back from the right door and as I was exiting to leave my right foot got caught which caused me to fall forward hitting my shoulder. 30 minutes later I checked into the emergency room getting ex rays as time would have it I requested a mri I told that I have 3 back muscles and 1 bicep muscle torn needless to say my job had me see a orthopedic surgeon who looked at my mri his reply to was if he did the surgery he would do more harm than good, at the time I contacted attorney Lauren Van Iderstine who sent me to Dr. Barry Saperia who told what he could do and he explain in detail about my injury thankfully the surgery went well all back muscles were connect and my bicep muscle was not. I"m very great full that I had Lauren as my attorney she always replied to me when I had questions and as a veteran I new she had my back.

After having some real estate issues we were referred to Attorney Brennan by a friend of the family. When we met with him for the consultation I was impressed. Attorney Brennan started the appointment on time, which is something that is important to me. He was prepared and had reviewed the documents sent to him prior to our arrival. He seemed extremely knowledgeable and gave great advice. Since the initial appointment I found he follows up as he said he would and responds to emails promptly. We haven't gone to court yet but I'm confident with Attorney Brennan we will get what is deserved!

I had Mark for a crime I committed (that I'd rather not discuss.) He, of course, beat the DA within his two minutes of appearing in court and with about one smart sentence out of his mouth. Gallagher is one of the most brilliant attorneys in the Southcoast areas. Please hire him if you aren't lucky enough to get him appointed as a court lawyer. You definitely won't be disappointed!

My attorney (Cara Gallucci) did an excellent job with guiding me through my motor vehicle accident and was able to give me the money that I deserve for my injury. She kept me updated frequently so I can know everything that was going on with my claim and told me what I needed to do to make sure I get it. I highly recommend this lawyer for your motor vehicle accidents and for any injuries that you may have.

Attorney Gallucci, and her assistant Kristen DiChiaro were unbelievable to work with. Needing someone to represent me after a non at fault accident, Attorney Gallucci and team immediately started working for me. Their timeliness with contacting me on anything, whether I was sending an email, or by phone blew me away with how rapid their responses were. Not only did they settle my case quickly, but fought to get more money for me in the end. I would highly recommend Attorney Gallucci to anyone who may need an upcoming lawyer. Thank you so much, most appreciatively, Ruth K

Cara Gallucci and Kristen DiChiaro were great! Always answered calls, and assisted me with understanding my case. After my accident I was very depressed, and scared to drive my car with fear of getting into an accident. I love how They would call to check on me, and see how I would be doing. The members at d'Oliveira & Associates Are very professional, and will get the job done.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Taunton, Massachusetts?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
