Attorney Kathryn Schwartz: Fortunately after using 2 other divorce attorneys, I finally found Kathryn Schwartz to help settle a long drawn out post-divorce child custody case. My only regret is that I didn’t find her sooner! During our initial meeting, she was extremely sharp and quickly got up to speed on the complex issues I was facing. I knew right away that I would be in good hands with Attorney Schwartz. She is compassionate, thorough, knowledgeable and aggressive (when she needs to be). She definitely knows how to think out of the box and is extremely quick on her feet. I also greatly appreciated Kathryn's responsiveness as she was always able to answer my questions in a timely manner. We developed our strategy from the onset, and she was able to accomplish my goal of doing what was in the best interest of my children. I highly recommend this law firm. Mal Ryan handled my divorce in 2008 and did a great job. This year Kara helped settle a dispute with my ex regarding payment of spousal support. I believe they keep costs to a minimum and are worth every penny.

Mrs. Ryan is a underhanded, untruthful attorney. If she is involved in any part of your divorce she will make sure she causes fights to run up the bill until your out of money. You will need to appeal decisions made by the courts if she’s involved. She has the judge approve ad litem’s and psychiatrist, all that comes out of marital assets and gets taken from your children, they say they only care about the kids? They don’t care at all. Appeal decisions! The judges and attorneys are all in it together. They can’t make it anyplace else besides taking someone’s pain and turning it up.

Kara is an extremely knowledgeable attorney as well as a true professional who clearly understands her client’s needs. Not only did she consistently advocate for me, but she was always available either by phone or email to answer any questions that I had. She clearly communicated the situation throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Kara as she is effective, highly knowledgeable, works extremely hard and not only makes time for me to ask questions and but answers them clearly so I understand. Kara represented me in my divorce. It was a fairly long, drawn out case (~2 years) due to my ex's lawyer who was unreasonable, unethical and wanted to drag it on and on to increase fees. Kara was honest, hard working, professional and above-board every step of the way. We prepared for trial, but also drafted a great settlement. And in the end, I am delighted to report that we left the courthouse with OUR executed settlement. A settlement that has all of the legal protections I need for myself and my child through their emancipation. I got more custody and a very fair and equitable financial agreement that benefits my child. When you're talking about the next 15 years, do you really want to settle for less and end up back in court fighting over a poorly written agreement? Or an agreement missing important terms and milestones? I sleep soundly knowing my rights and my child's rights, are protected by my iron-clad agreement up through college and emancipation! I have to respectfully disagree with the previous review. This firm and especially Mal Ryan was extremely professional, knowledgeable, approachable and available. Mal (et. al) looked out for my best interests every step of the way through the difficult journey of divorce. I highly recommend this firm and would turn to them again in a heartbeat if needed.

Kara was excellent. Explained everything in depth, gave me many options to help keep costs down . Responded to all coespondence in a very timely manner. She was awesome in court very prepared on very short notice, was very good in court! I would recommend her to everyone.
