My son visited this summer from The United Kingdom, where he lived with my Ex-Wife (who had physical custody). During the visit, my son expressed that he felt in danger of going back because he was witness to my Ex-Wife and her new British citizen boyfriend fighting constantly. I immediately contacted David Callahan and Laurel Barraco because I heard they were no doubt "the best." Their calm but calculating personalities immediately put at me at ease because I was so frightened of my son being in the middle of that mess in a foreign country and having absolutely no recourse if something were to happen. What made my case even more complicated was that our original divorce decree and custody had been decided in the Hawaiian Court System. They let me know right up from once they had all the facts how much hiring them would cost and I have to say, not only was the cost very reasonable but they were totally transparent as well. They used their wealth of experience and absolute knowledge of the law and the court system to strategize a plan. Within just 3 short weeks, Attorney's Callahan and Barraco won my case. I went from being absolutely petrified thinking about my son being in this horrible living situation in a foreign country, to legal and physical custody (overriding the previous Hawaiian Court System Decree). My son is now a happy productive member of a local 7th Grade class and he and I both have the dedication to duty, knowledge of the law, and calming personal demeanors of Attorney's Callahan and Barraco to thank for it.

Laurel did a great job during my 8 month divorce process. She was always quick to respond to my emails/phone calls. She helped me me focused when emotions were running high. Laurel is truly dedicated to her clients and gives 110%. I would absolutely recommend her as a divorce lawyer.

The difficult situation I find myself in has only been made worse by an extremely difficult ex. One of the first things that Laurel told me during our first meeting was that she "works" for me as the client, and she did just that! I was very nervous about entering into the legal process of establishing my paternal rights with my son but Laurel eased my fears and made me comfortable right off the bat.
