Matt is wonderful at understanding what you are going through. He is amazing with the legal documents and his staff was great. His flaw was not listening to what I needed him to do during the trial. The things that were important to me, he blew off. Several steps were missed. A lawyer always forgets that he works for his client. I still highly recommend Matt because he is still better then anything else you will find in Lenawee. The judges are the ones you have to look out for. If you are ordered to do a child custody evaluation through Thomas or Patricia Muldary, I highly recommend you protect yourself by recording your conversation and/or getting someone else to do the evaluation! They are crooks and refuse to take evidence into account. Take your child and run! Lenawee is corrupt!

I've had several attorneys over the last few years in my custody case, with mixed results for one reason or another. Generally speaking, I've felt my results didn't match the strength of my case. Matt Rains is the attorney that gets the results. His motions are thorough, well crafted, and strongly worded. In court he shows up prepared, is very articulate, and advocates aggressively for his clients. He listens to your concerns and requests with an open mind, and I've found that his advice is virtually always spot on. The times he's agreed to file something at my request have been successful. The things he's advised an alternate solution for have also been appropriate. The only drawback to being widely regarded as the best family law attorney around is that he is often booked weeks in advance. That said, if your issue is not particularly time sensitive, Matt Rains is second to none.

He is a wonderful guy and his assistant is also a darling. We are working through an adoption and they always keep us up to date and the process moving quickly. Our family is very grateful, and his pricing is very fair

Worst lawyer in Michigan, maybe the whole US. Doesnt do what they say they will do.

the receptionist was extremely rude when i called. when i tried to explain her answer to me was " what do you want us to do about it" with a very snotty attitude. it was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to a client. i will be very sure to let every one know about this disgraceful attitude
