So far we have had nothing but a good experience in dealing with Matt at the office, the office staff (Lee, Nancy) and being greeted by friendly staff and Pete! We are about 3/4ths done with our case and would easily recommend Matt to anyone. He personally invests himself into our case. Returns calls, emails and updates us when they get any letter or response from the court in a timely manner. I was not going to write a review until we were finished but just read an AWFUL review which I cannot see any of the Antkoviak Lawyers acting in such manner. My husband and I have been dealing with our case since September 2017. I will update this review once our case has closed. Huge thank you to Matt so far.

The definition of a puppet of the court. Paid $200 to have this court appointed attorney. He's just about the only one Allegan County uses. He was sued before by other attorneys in the county as he was being soley favored and used as the court appointed attorney. In at least one case, this lunatic was morally fine with representing the plaintiff AND the defendant in the same trial. Spent hours at the courthouse waiting to talk to this joke of a lawyer, as he was never available outside of the courthouse. I had to call for 5 consecutive days to get him to send over my court papers, never reaching him just his Secretary. Watched this scum just funnel helpless people into taking pleas through the court. The Prosecuting Attorney in Allegan has an almost perfect conviction rate against this lawyer when he's the court appointed attorney in a case. In my particular story, he acquired tapes of the incident where I was accused of disturbing the peace. When I went to meet him to watch the tapes, he wouldn't let me. He wouldnt let me watch the tapes. He only told me that he has now convinced the PA to give me a lesser charge. When I asked for deferred sentencing, he said he would ask the PA. I then sat around the courthouse for a few more hours while he dealt with other people like me who paid to have him represent us. He finally came up to me and said that "she will not allow deferred sentencing", except that the PA is a man. I don't know what kind of crooked systems they have in Allegan but if you assume this man will represent you, you will have the court and your own attorney against you. I literally had to just call my real attorney while I was waiting for Antkoviak to have time to talk to me and get some actual legal advice. The advice my actual attorney gave me was far superior to this clown. If my attorney wasn't located 3 hours away from Allegan I would have certainly used him instead. Just got off the phone with the BAR for the area and will update this review with more info as it progresses. If you're reading this and Antkoviak is your appointed attorney, seek outside help.

Never returns phone calls
