Note: changing my name for privacy I hired Matthew Boucher in January of 2020 and he represented me in court until February 2022. In the beginning, Matt seemed like a really, really great attorney. He was attentive, he was loud and assertive in court, and overall carried himself very nicely. He also made himself available for any questions or concerns basically whenever I reached out. He filed several motions on my behalf, and got all of them granted- including using medical marijuana while on bond and getting a GPS tether removed that I wore for about 1 year 6 months. However overtime it became extremely apparent to me that Matt had lost all care or concern regarding my case. At least that’s how it felt in my eyes. The covid-19 pandemic really dragged my court case out that is why he represented me for 2 years. He stopped returning phone calls, and wouldn’t return text messages for literally days. I still have the receipts to prove that as well. Seemed like he had no interest in meeting or calming down my concerns like any lawyer normally would. I accepted a plea agreement in August of 2021, and was set to be sentenced in October of 2021. Unfortunately at this sentencing date there were a few stipulations that had been added, and my plea had been rejected by the judge. My probation term then turned into a 2 year prison sentence in the blink of an eye. I begged Matt to try to find another way through it. He told me he was sure that there was no other way whatsoever to change the situation and I had to accept the fact that I would be serving this prison sentence. At this point, I informed him I would be hiring different counsel. This counsel came at a hefty price, and Matt assured me once again that there was no way possible that anyone else would ever be able to change the outcome of my sentencing. Even being told this, I still decided to hire this counsel. He was on my case for 30 days and today I am happy to announce that I was sentenced to 0 jail time and only am having to serve a probation sentence. Take this for what you will. Matt helped me through a lot for a long time but unfortunately in the end he just gave up and told me it is what it is. I’m happy I didn’t take that advice because, if I did, I would be sitting in jail right now.

I have hired this man for two different cases and he is a GODSENT! Not only did he get me the best possible outcome both times but he reassured me over and over again when I texted him tirelessly asking questions and voicing concerns over cases that could have ruined my life. He fought for me and did everything in his power to make sure that didn’t happen. Even when I didn’t make the best choices he was able to argue my side and me and my career in the medical field will be forever grateful!!!
