Hired Jordan for a specific matter and made clear exactly the course I needed to take. After signing a retainer, he advised he was not the right lawyer for what I needed. He promised he would provide references and dropped the ball. He got irritated with me that I was concerned he was only in it for the money, and now refuses to communicate with me, despite being in possession of unspent retainer funds which he seems to feel privileged to keep. A true scoundrel who may or may not feel a duty to represent you, as long as 1) you have deep pockets, and 2) you appeal to his ego.

Well, let me be your guide to the greedy and unethical lawyers of Detroit. After getting fleeced by Jim Rasor, Jordan was more than happy to compound my debt. I have been in a contentious divorce for 8 years, and worked for the court system previously. I am abundantly clear about the legal process and I'm fully capable of navigating the courts myself, from filing a motion and process service, to presenting an argument before the judge. I was in a desperate situation and made extremely clear what I needed from an attorney, because at times it is unwise to represent one's self in court. This was such an occasion. After Jordan took my retainer, he then admitted he was not the appropriate attorney for the case. He told me he would refer me to the proper attorney then disappeared. He then offered to present a motion before the judge which, anyone who knows the court system, would have led to my destruction. Jordan would have roped me into untold litigation time and costs from that point forward; the "response to motion" would have destroyed me, and paid for his next luxury vehicle. Which, brings me to what Jordan seems to be about. Clout. Wealth. Prestige. And you, as a client? He will ignore you once he has the retainer, unless he can bleed more money. The initial retainer is the bait. If you are not a high-dollar client, avoid Jordan. His goal in life is to convert your money into his money.
