I hired Lisa Stern for a child support / visitation case and it was a complete disaster. I would not recommend her services to anyone. Upon meeting Lisa in our initial consultation, I was very impressed. She was friendly, competent, and put my mind at ease. She told me she "guaranteed" that the opposing party would not get what they were asking for. She told me she would be there with me at the trial. The day before my hearing Lisa phoned and told me she could not be at my hearing and was sending her associate, Laura, who had been briefed on the case. Laura could not have been less prepared. After sitting in the court room for several hours, my case was called and Laura was nowhere to be found. After another hour I had to physically go to another courtroom where she was sitting (without a client) and pull her out. By the time my case was called again, it was the judges very last case at the end of a very long day. To make matters worse, Laura looked like a deer in the headlights during the entire hearing. She barely said anything at all on my behalf and did not bring up any of the points or arguments Lisa and I had discussed. She may as well have not been there at all. When I told Lisa what had happened, she told me she trusted Laura to represent me as well as she would. She then charged me another 2+ K to do a motion for reconsideration to correct the fact she'd sent someone incompetent to represent me. The motion for reconsideration was denied. At this point I had paid Lisa over 4K...for literally nothing. At this point I promptly let Lisa go. Several months later it came to my attention that Lisa had never removed herself as my attorney of record. When I reached out and asked her to do so, she told me she would not remove herself unless I paid her an additional amount to do so. My new attorney informed me that this is absolutely unacceptable and it is the attorney's responsibility to remove themselves as attorney of record if they are let go - at NO additional cost. The entire experience with this firm was terrible and negligent. I paid a lot of money and received the most pathetic representation imaginable. Lisa Stern cares more about running up her bills than actually representing her clients. STAY AWAY. STAY FAR AWAY.

Oh Lisa! My angel and warrior. After dealing with a horrible Domestic Violence situation, Lisa steppes in and removes any worry or doubt in my mind. She gave me peace of mind that allowed me to heal and recover from an abusive relationship and focus on raising my son. She is honest, up front and a fighter. 5 stars is not enough for her! I trust Lisa 100% with my life (my amazing son). Not only has she been my attorney she has been a friend. She takes my calls anyway or time to reassure me that everything is in my favor. You ask for it, Lisa will get it done! God bless you Lisa, thank you for restoring peace in my heart and mind.

Lisa is worth every penny. She worked over and beyond humanly possible in my extremely difficult and complex case. Times where I fell and could not see the light or even think anymore - she pushed me through. The hardest opposition I ever had to face in my life was divorce; however, now I can honestly say, I am divorced and in a good place. I am indeed shining again and on my way to be the person God intended. I will always recommend Lisa for any family law case. Thank you Lisa for giving me back a happy & healthy life. Rita

If you're looking for the absolute best representation for you and your children, Lisa is it. I was successful in my matter because of her experience and skill. She is definitely a fighter and I could not have asked for better representation. She is also caring of her clients and maintains excellent communication through the process, which is very reassuring. I almost felt bad for the other side.. Almost..

Lisa is a Godsend! She listens, solves issues creatively with integrity and caring. She has solved problems no one could after taking over my 7 year painful unrelenting divorce.

She took $7500 of our hard earned money and left a mother who did everything the courts asked to gain custody of her only child and Lisa abandoned her at the settlement hearing because we didn't have another $10,000 to go to trial. The father in the case was never once taken back to court during the trial portion of custody for his many offenses including withholding my daughter from seeing her son, being late to drop off and pick up so she lost her job, calling child protective services on her 3 times, calling the police on her so many times she was on a first name basis with them. Lisa kept stating we would take care of that during trial. When I stated we didn't have the cash for that, she left her client, my daughter to fend for herself during the hearing. I don't not recommend Lisa Stern to take care of any of your needs. My daughter and I have had to save to pay another attorney to help. Ive read your many reviews. I'm sorry Lauren didn't get the same consideration. Unfair how you posted to put her reputation under scrutiny. If anyone wanted to see the files We'd be happy sto share along with the phone conversation we had with the partner of the firm and you admitting that she didnt get what was agreed upon . Also multiple texts messages where time after time you said everything would be dealt with in trial. (Failing to mention the $10k price tag) ALso, when she went to apply for a pro- bono attorney for her trial portion, you settled after you told me you wouldn't. SO save your sob story. Again, I'm happy you helped others but Lauren's case was mishandled from start to finish. You reminded me I never finished sending this to the Lawyer's association. It took two years for her to get the custody she was suppose to have from day one. Shame, shame on you.
