Chapter 7? Fret not!!! When I realized that Chapter 7 was my best way out of my financial woes, I WORRIED! I thought, "How complicated is this going to be?" Then I contacted Walter Metzen. Everything after that point was easy as pie! With quick handling and clear instructions all along the way, the whole thing was over and done before I knew it. Everything just went from bad to worse. I was going to lose my house. I was stressed, sleep deprived, and almost lost my job too because of all the problems occurring. I searched and talked to many different lawyers and all of them were too scared to handle the case. So finally I just decided to search up "best lawyers in Michigan" and Walter Metzen showed up with great ratings and astounding reviews. He had meetings with me and learned everything about the case down to the smallest detail before he was even hired. Once I hired him, the case was over quickly and I was granted the discharge. He saved my life, my family, and my house. I am very pleased with his services and his staff was also very excellent. I would highly recommend lawyer Walter Metzen to anyone who needs a lawyer. Unfortunately I got over my head in medical bills and my wages were being garnished and needed to file for bankruptcy.... This was my first time filing for bankruptcy so I had no clue what I was doing I got online and looked for an attorney and thankfully I came across Mr. Metzen law offices! Needless to say all the great reviews about Mr. Metzen were true and I'm glad I chose him to represent me.... Start to finish he made this hard time I was going through very easy and always answered all my questions to put it simply he is an amazing attorney and I can not thank him enough for his hard work!!!!

I would Highly Recommend Mr, Metzen, He went above and beyond for my case. I met with him he told me that he could work with me. There was a few ups and downs in my case when it came to getting discharged because of my current situation. He was very persistent on getting my case discharged, the little bit of money i paid him was way less then the work he did for me.

I would like to give 5 stars because for the most part it was a five star experience. However, there is one thing that happened to make me give four stars. My check had been garnished. Both Walter and Sabrina informed me that if I filed bankruptcy within 90 days of my check being garnished, and it was over $600, I could get that money back. Well I filed within 90 days like they told me, and the amount was over $600. A few weeks later I received a check from Walter for half of what had been garnished from my wages. I was curious as to why I hadn't receive the full amount, but I thought I would receive the rest after my bankruptcy had been discharged. A few days after my bankruptcy had been discharged I phoned the office to see when I would receive the rest of the money. The person who answered the phone, not Walter or Sabrina, informed me that Walter takes a percentage of the monies that have been garnished. I asked her if it was 50%, a couple of times, but she wouldn't give me a definite answer. Eventually she transferred me to Walter, and I asked him about the money. He told me that when it comes to garnished wages when he is able to get the money back from the creditor, we "split" the money. We meaning Walter and whoever his client is. He did not tell me that initially, and he still did not give me a percentage. This makes me think that 50% is not standard in every case, it's just what he took from me in this case. If I had known this initially I would have shopped around for another bankruptcy lawyer. That's not to say I would not have chosen Walter, but I would have definitely shopped around. But for the most part the process was smooth, and I would still recommend Walter A Metzen.

ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR AND COMPETENT LAWYER First let me state that if you are in need of a Bankruptcy Lawyer, do not...hesitate for one moment to choose Walter Metzen. I will highly recommend Walter Metzen to anyone considering or needing to file for a Bankruptcy. It has been an emotional and stressful time for my husband and I. Mr. Metzen's office provided excellent service that made a difficult situation seem seamless. We did extensive research and met with two other lawyers before choosing Walter. Mr Metzen's AVVO rating is 10 which is the highest there is. He handles 1000 or more cases a year. He recently hired Shannon as an associate attorney because his workload is so heavy due to his superb reputation. Shannon did an excellent job of filling out the initial filing paperwork for us. Walter's office will provide you with a folder of materials that list all the documentation you will need to provide in order for him to process your case. There is extensive documentation explaining the Bankruptcy process and what you can expect and what it will do for you. Mr. Metzen explained our options and what would happen during our bankruptcy step by step. He was very professional, personable, and thorough. The fees are very reasonable for the quality representation you will receive from Walter and his staff. The fees include your bankruptcy education program which is required by law. We found him to be trustworthy, confident, responsive, knowledgeable and efficient. The Walter Metzen law firm gets my highest recommendation. He is an honorable, kind and amazing individual. Sabrina and Shannon were most helpful also! From our initial consultation to our court appearance the whole process could have not gone any smoother. Our entire Bankruptcy process including final discharge was completed in two months due to Walter and his staff's efficient and dedicated efforts. Bankruptcy is never an easy experience. However the professionalism and work provided by Mr. Metzen’s law firm provided a means for a successful exit from our chapter 7.
