I met Tom Morris eleven years ago. My law partner and I quarreled over our 32 million dollar docket and ended up in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Tom was referred to me by a senior bankruptcy judge and a senior member of the bankruptcy bar. The litigation was difficult and lasted over 8 years. Tom represented several members of my family and myself. He brilliantly protected my aged parents, and successfully negotiated a settlement for me. He was tops in his class at the University of Michigan law school, and brings his discipline and strategic thinking to each legal problem he is involved in. As a senior member of the bankruptcy bar, he is known and respected by federal judges, and fellow practitioners. He prefers diplomacy and negotiation to "running the meter," and tries to be cost effective in his representation of clients. When the protracted litigation exhausted my funds, Tom worked tirelessly and without complaint, until he could be properly rewarded from the Court ordered distributions. He has impeccable integrity, and his billable hours are based on actual hours worked, not on fictionalized "value billing". Tom represents the best of what the legal profession can be, and should be. I whole heartedly recommend him to anyone who wants excellent representation by an extraordinary lawyer and a fine human being. I am a retired lawyer who knows and has experienced the best and the worst legal representation. Tom Morris is the "real deal." Lawrence
