Wendy Attorney was scared of facing DTN. So she backed out representing me afraid she might lose! I thought Nicholas Law Firm was reputable that's why I called them. Unfortunately I guess I was wrong. She recommended a Firm out of town.

I’ve known Mike for several years. When I got in trouble it was one of the lowest periods in my life. Immediately contacted Mike and I’m so glad I did. He put my mind at ease, and did everything in his power, despite me giving him very little to work with to get me the best possible outcome for my family and my future. He helped me turn what would be for most people a set back, into an opportunity. He was so much more than my attorney in this instance of my life. I can’t say enough about him not only professionally, but personally as a phenomenal human in such a broken messy world

They lost a law suit to the city by allowing them to purjor themselves in EL v Heos.
9/10 good try, city commissioner for students 2019 served 2020 term and repping the MSU SHC (270~ homeownere as well) and the Wiccan/Pagan students.
12 of our 18 houses are forced to pay this tariff because you brought the suit but failed to call out the cities attorney for falsifying on record their sovereign duty to maintain said easements and that the pass through costs are part of their regular business model. And that the company has a duty to maintain and the dept public works has the legal authority to bill them directly for the work where the users would then be charged the pass through and 'legal' manner rather then the embezzlement you aided in continuing by letting them get a COA which refused the merits of the case because the city abused its position. Not to mention this is the second state law violation for willful extortion and entrapment they have been found guilty of in court but appealed paying their debts because it would hurt their budget...2.4 Mil on top of this illegal per capita tariff on electricity for the consequence of requiring shelter and not having any option to change service due to the municipality issued monopoly zone aka 'franchise' EEZ collected illegally altering the speed limit on Grand River which they were found in contempt of State Trooper and Highway safety speed limit ruling which is the final say in the matter and are willfully practicing entrapment publicly js. Which I have cited repeatedly including their refusal to maintain said easements along all of Grand River which has countless foot traffic but they cant even be bothered with basic sovereign duties because it's too much of a fiscal stress of the special governing district, an alternative would also be to follow Lansings example and ask for annexation by the capital and removal of the special governing district which was afforded MSU to grow since the city is actively extorting students for profit publicly js... No arbor work is done on said easements and 4 have exposed romex (light weight insulated wires for indoor electrical service) and no preventative maintenance is scheduled despite them alleging they are spending it to cover their deferral of maintained to pocket the difference in general fund savings. And having not done what they alleged. But now we have all lost standing because of the improper actions of the COA permitting the city to use uncapped legal funds to come up with a purjored defense the court would be amicable despite 6 concurrent rulings in the state of MI (5 upheld because of your failure to mention the case precedent finding in your favour and their defense being willful negligence for profit? That's outright declaration of embezzling public funds...where is the investigation into their illegal conduct. They still owe 2.4 M in refunded traffic tickets including the 73% they remitted to state and federal government in exchange for meeting their Grant Manhour quotas for ticketing) that's 90 something thousand dollars of tickets per officer issued on the corridor illegally...more then their yearly salary. But that's not "implicit bias" or "breach of ethics" or anything. But none of that came up in your defense of the just and proper ruling which the city sought to refuse because they are giving kick backs to said police dept for bringing in said tickets with a building upgrade while refusing to spend said money on the approved economic development grant to maintain those easements, upgrade and repair a food desert service area, and emergency weather shelter. Had they gone through with the approved and funded grant. But again, somehow you permitted their argument that they have done their sovereign duty to maintain the easements? Why haven't you sent out flyers or a ad about how to cite the city every time someone sees a pothole exceeding the 3in depth. Of trees within the 25 ft barrier of the poles.
This is a 5% tax we have to suffer for with no option to refuse because you didn't provide a vigorous defense...js

Called to get a short conversation with a lawyer. Lawyer called back accusing me of hanging up on someone or something instead of helping me with law questions. I guess the law is privileged knowledge lol.

Mike Nichols carefully explored every possible approach to defending me in my OWI 2d case. He brought a motion to exclude evidence, arranged for expert witnesses, and kept me informed and involved at every step. My case ended with a plea agreement that I am very happy with. Mike and his legal staff are at the top of their game, and I can unequivocally recommend his firm to anyone facing an OWI charge, or any other criminal charge for that matter.
