After over 50 years of suffering a catastrophic workplace injury and of trying to navigate a path to my essential survival, I somehow found The Michigan Worker's Comp Lawyers and Alex Berman with his lifetime of experience in dealing with situations like mine. Mr. Berman has from day one been persistent, accomodating and always available for communication to the point that I often wonder just how he manages to put in such long hours every single day. He's even called me from the doctor's office and he goes out of his way to find solutions that will work. I highly recommend this very honest and reputable firm to anyone seeking help in navigating today's increasingly stressful path towards justice for workers injured in Michigan.

So I decided to go with this firm because of the awesome reviews. Unfortunately I got a lawyer (Marilyn) that simply didn’t seem to care. In the more than a year and a half that we “worked” together we only spoke a handful of times but I literally had to go back over EVERYTHING every time we spoke. I also had to email her on MULTIPLE occasions explaining everything... again... We finally make it before a magistrate (this is when we first met) she was somehow shocked that I didn’t have any assistance walking even though I had been through it with her on multiple occasions telling her that the initial findings were incorrect and what my new dr had found and that the treatment for the diagnosis was helping! So I had told her also that my physical therapist did not allow me to use a cane because it was making things worse, I was put on crutches temporarily then not allowed to use devices to help me walk. So at this point (going on 2 years after signing with the firm) we go in front of the magistrate.... BOTH lawyers (mine and the defending attorney) have my injury documented incorrectly as the “initial findings” they did not even contact the new dr that I had been with for over a year and who found out what was actually wrong with me, even after giving her all the new drs information. After this the offered me WAY Les’s than what she said I should get which didn’t even cover the bills I had from during my injury. I accepted simply because I had lost almost everything already, all I had was my son and my car (which I was about to lose) so I accepted in order to keep my soon and vehicle basically and so I didn’t have to deal with this careless woman any longer. I would NOT recommend working with this firm! Update: Alex called me told me how sorry he was that things didn’t turn out well for me and asked what happened and what he could do to help me if anything and that he would be making sure this did not happen again. The initial and final experience with the firm were really great and I would very strongly recommend that if anybody that goes with this firm and has any issues at all or is dissatisfied with how their case is going, that they contact Alex ASAP. I truly believe had I thought to contact him prior to the settlement things would have turned out much differently. I have nothing against the firm or Marilyn personally and I believe whenever possible Alex will do what he can to make sure that your case goes as well as possible and wants the best for the firm’s clients.

I wish I would have went with Alex Berman's office first but unfortunately I made a poor decision and chose another lawyer who I absolutely distrust. Unfortunately Alex Berman's office refuses to speak to me because they know my current lawyer and according to their receptionist the lawyers don't like to step on each other's toes. So unfortunately I can't fire the lawyer I already have until I find another lawyer to take over my case. I heard good and bad things about them. One of my coworkers loves them and another one hates them. I personally hope I never have to deal with the corrupt work comp system ever again.
