This law firm is over reaching and egregious on their treatment of people and trying to resolve any problem. They admit nothing, will not settle, make it extremely difficult in communications. AWFUL - RUN don't walk away from them if you can. GREEDY greedy people with no respect for others or even half logical thinking.

As a lawyer who can't stand these kinds of practices, if you want to successfully deal with these people, you have to play the game. If they send you a summons and complaint, you need to file an answer with the court within 21 days of service if you were
personally served, or 28 days if you were served via mail. Do not sleep on this deadline. Make sure the lawyer listed on your complaint gets a copy of your filed answer (timestamped by the court) via certified mail so you can show they were served with it. When you send your answer to the lawyer, also include a written request for the bill and the assignment of rights. Once the court has your answer, they may or may not send you a notice of hearing, which in this case is what you want, because now you can make your grievances known before the judge and the judge can compel the lawyer to work with you. I advised a friend to do the same with these people and she was able to get a hearing before the judge, and one of their lawyers had to drive three hours there and three hours back with the bill in hand so my friend could get it over to her insurance company for payment. They could have just emailed the bill to her, but no, they want to be unreasonably difficult, so that's fine. I'll make them waste an entire day of driving and two tanks of gas if they're so inclined. They are due back in court in 60 days for a follow up conference, so again, the judge is aware of what's going on and these people can't sneak in some kind of garnishment request for your wages without your notice. Play the game and play it right. Record all your phone conversations, use certified mail, track everything, utilize every possible receipt in the books to show how you've worked with these people and get a hearing before the judge. Also, I only gave these people five stars so my review would stick out for people to see. And if this firm wants to have my review removed because they don't like me telling people how to legally deal with them, that's fine, I'll just keep posting this same review from other accounts. I'm petty like that. I hope this review helps for some, and shame on Scott Renner tarnishing the legal profession with his disgusting practice.

Biggest scam artists. Rude as can be. Set up payment plans, they don't go by that and will take money whenever they want and overdraft my bank account constantly

Absolute horrible experience with these people. The attorneys are retarded and good luck with the front desk lady you’ll be lucky if she even knows her own name. Stay away from these people at all costs. They will also take all of your money and then have no answers for you.

I was continuously making payments, and they still ripped me off and then when I called down there, they hung up on me, refused to answer my questions and laughed at me over the phone. Very unprofessional

Worst company ever! Highly recommend recording your own conversations when you are on the phone with them. They are liars and extremely rude. They will not work with you at all. They only do mail to communicate which is ridiculous. If you have paid everything off they will continue to take your money because they can't bother to get the paid off complete out. Horrible people and they should be shut down.

This company lies about your current balance and allows garnishments to continue so they can build and collect interest, claiming employers are withholding funds. They have done this to many and now have a court case coming their way. For now, pay your balance in total out of pocket until the lawsuit is finished.

Noone wants to find out that an unassuming item has been sent to Collections. But this was the easiest item I've ever had to clear up and so quickly. The Rep that helped me (Renae) was GREAT!! I could do nothing but smile when the call ended. Appreciate her kindness and following through to help me with proof of payment. Hopefully I won't have to speak with her again in this lifetime 😊 but if ever I have to contact Velo Law it would definitely be her that I'd want to deal with
