I called Barrix Law Firm I need of help dealing with a snowmobile dealership that could not keep my snowmobile running and had improperly installed a new engine causing premature failure. Jason represented me in an auto accident case in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan. I had originally contacted a Detroit TV lawyer about the case but they referred me to a Lansing area lawyer who I contacted but he did not seem too interested in the case. I had heard of The Barrix Law firm before so I decided to call. When I called, I was immediately put through to Jason. After Jason had listened to the information about the auto accident he decided to take the case even though other people were not very interested in it. I was notified of a hearing for a situation that seemed implausible. No attorney was willing to work with me and the ones that were, made it quite apparent that I would lose. The amount of negativity that I received while calling around to find representation was gut wrenching to me. Losing this case meant losing my house, my license, my vehicle, my career, and possibly my children. Simply DEVASTATING. Following are a few sentences I heard from other attorneys: 'You should just admit to it. You'd be better off.' 'If you have the ability to move out of the state, I would recommend it.' 'You will likely lose but I will represent you.' The list goes on and I had many attorneys who would not return my calls to even discuss the case with me. The emotions this stirred up were exhausting. I even considered stating I was guilty, when I was not, because I was so discouraged. Jason Barrix was confident when talking to me from the very beginning. He actively listened to what I was saying and responded to me on a very personable level. He made me feel like an adult who made a simple error, not like a child who needed to accept that I had no other option but to face the consequences for something I did not do. And with that feeling, I knew no matter the end result, I wanted him by my side. Once all of the information was gathered, Jason proceeded with an attack that was not only specific to my situation, he went about the entire case as if it were my own in comparison to itself, and not in comparison to others who had been where I was. I hired Jason last minute and he invested a mass amount of effort and time into piecing every small detail together within days. He came up with information and evidence that I would have never thought to gather. Information that other law firms did not think to present or even consider as options. Going into my hearing, I was still recalling all of the negative voices in my head and prepared for the worst outcome, but Jason quickly turned that around once the hearing started, with how confident he was in representing me. By the end of my hearing, I was in tears. But not the tears I was mentally prepared for. They were tears of joy and the weight of the world being taken off of my shoulders. With Jason's representation, I not only walked away from the hearing with my life still fully intact, I walked away with a simple lecture and a note on my records. That was IT. A month of extreme worry pending my hearing was finally at rest, with the BEST possible outcome. My implausible case was proven to be extremely plausible, with Barrix Law Firm's competency and expertise. I am beyond grateful for Jason. I spent 4 times to try and get my drivers license reinstated from the state of Michigan. I was denied every time. This year 2023 I decided to get a lawyer. I was referred to Jason Barrix as the best lawyer many of my friends recommended him, and they don teven know each other so that spoke volume for having a respected name. I contracted with Jason for a quite complex, and “petty” small misdemeanor charge (involving a shared food app), while going through a child custody/paternity/support battle with (plaintiff in this case). Jason helped me navigate the stresses, helped keep me focused on my priorities while going through this, and delivered amazing motions with law, facts and evidence, to prove I was not guilty of the alleged charge, and proper resolution in the end, that got our case dismissed with no trial, no conviction, and no court fines. I was beyond impressed with how Jason wrote in his words for the courts, and his decades of experience in representing so many cases, including one such as this.
