Mr Halpern helped me win my freedom. He is very smart and his assistant is even smarter. Paperwork was on point. However, he charged my family for services they paid for, when I was granted a hearing he told me that we needed an extra $5,000. When my friend volunteered to pay that cost he told her $7,000. And when she sent a deposit he sent her a contract charging her $8,000. my contract was paid through my appeals, yet he requested several thousands more for services to continue. When I was freed and looked for an attorney to represent me in future civil matters, that Mr Halpern told me he wouldn't do, I hadn't even met anyone and was accused of looking for someone to replace him with my appeal. I didn't have a license yet so my friend drove me on an icy day, I was accused of bringing in someone to intimidate him. He is a very poor speaker and forgets what he was talking about, wont wear a hearing aid and can't hear.
