If you are going through a custody case and want a lawyer who will fight for you, I would AVOID this law firm at all costs!! I have fired them after 3 years of nonsense and I since obtained new legal council with better communication.

Bridgette booser was great to work with. Affording a lawyer was a struggle for me and i was hesitant, but she was worth it! After watching her argue my case i was truly amazed, she did all the work and I hardly even had to speak. I was able to obtain full physical and legal custody of my son. One of my favorite things about her was that she was always available to answer my emergency questions after hours/weekends when I needed advice on how to handle situations.

Bridget handled the legal side of our nonprofit and did so magnificently. All filings were expedited, and everything went smoothly. Thank you so much.

Can't be bothered to update the information on his Justia profile to be upfront about the fact he does NOT offer a free consultation. In my opinion, if he either doesn't have the time or care to have one of his many underlings update something that important, how can he be expected to provide thorough legal representation?

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM DAY 1!!!! I was in the middle of a do-it-yourself divorce and on the last day my husband decided to hire a lawyer. On that day, my sister and I scoured google for great lawyers in the Lansing area. The reviews for Wood & Associates were stellar. That was NOT my experience. My initial consultation with Joe was great. He was kind and straight to the point about my case. He assigned me to Brigette. It took several days for her to contact me. Our initial talk went well but she said she needed to speak with my husband's lawyer to confirm exactly what was going on and she'd get back with me. Days later she emailed me a very blunt summarization of information, not backed up with any explanation. I was confused about why she said one thing on our initial call then after speaking to husband's lawyer totally changed her tune. I asked for an explanation, but none was given. I tried to call to speak with her and even said I would only need two minutes of her time, but she was out on vacation as of the end of that day and she didn't call me back. So, she was asking me to agree to pay money for an appraisal on my home that I didn't think was needed based on her original call with me. Again, no explanation as to why she now agrees with his lawyer. I fumed the entire long weekend and set up a face-to-face meeting with her. Face to face she was a very nice lady but kept interrupting me while I was explaining things. I felt very rushed and not heard. This lack of communication continued through the entire process. The worst is when my husband and I asked to go back to the original divorce agreement with nothing being contested, Brigette generated the new Judgement of Divorce and there were so many mistakes and spelling/grammatical errors that I had to ask to get corrected, like nobody even used spell check! These people get paid $350/hour and I had to correct spelling and grammar and legal verbiage! Even though I spelled out specifically what needed to be corrected and where on the JOD, it took one of the paralegals to CALL me to go over it all to make sure it was actually corrected (because I emailed Brigette several times for corrections and she'd correct one or two things but not the rest). Very unprofessional! Very condescending! My entire retainer and more was used for the simplest work possible ($4,500 total). I would NEVER recommend this company and will NEVER use them again. This was the worst experience I've ever had with an attorney. (I will end on a good note...the ONLY good note about my experience: The online portal that they have for billing and communication is amazing and makes it very efficient.)

Bridget Booser walked with me through a very difficult divorce. As a transgender female I was nervous that I would be treated poorly in the legal system, but she took care of our entire situation from day one! I felt seen and respected for who I am, and never once felt my rights had to be forfeited because of who I am! While I pray people don’t have to go through these terrible circumstances, I would highly recommend Bridget to anyone who is facing a difficult legal battle.
