While the other party kept trying to bring drama into the case, Attorney Starr never gave into it. She stated facts and the issue at hand with every correspondence. I had a situation where my current lawyer desired to withdraw from my case because they did not have the appropriate amount of time to focus on what was needed to best represent it and advise that I talk to other lawyers in the area and see if I could discover one that can better help with the situation since they were from a different part of the state. When I was told to call Morgan Starr & Sackin because of their reputation for professionalism and care in the cases they represent by a few people in the community. I made sure to explain the situation and made sure they were okay meeting with me when I originally called and talked with someone from their office. However, upon my arrival and initial meeting with one of their attorneys it was quickly evident that they did not want to take the case after I once more explained the basic situation and that I have a lawyer that advised me to interview other attorneys to make sure that my case gets the attention it needs and that everyone was on the same page out of respect. Unfortunately they were more focused on their phone, and within the first couple of moments, about five or so minutes of me speaking, cut me off, ending the meeting abruptly wishing me, "Best of luck, window shopping for lawyers." I am sure this could have been an isolated incident. However, when individuals come seeking legal aid in very sensitive situations. Common curiosity and some level of empathy in these matters are important. I would definitely somewhat be more understanding if I had not explained the situation to the person on the phone the day prior to make sure they were okay meeting with me. There was little to no professionalism, care, or anything that remotely reflects what I was told when referred to the law firm by the attorney I met with unfortunately.
