I contacted Mr. Handy for an issue that I was unsure about, and do not regret doing so. The consultation was completely free, and after providing him all the information that was needed to determine if there was a case or not, then he kept constant communication with me for the entire process. The results of my case were very satisfactory, and I would highly recommend Handy Law for any and all Michigan lemon law cases. At the very least, a free consultation never hurts if you are unsure on an issue you may have with your vehicle. Michigan lemon laws can be very tricky and confusing, and I can say that Mr. Handy is very well versed on the the intricacies involved.

Won’t even try to defend you. Will just bleed you of money, even if you don’t have it. Will take advantage of you. Only redeeming factor is that they returned money when I overpaid the bill.

After rudely being told it was my fault they didn't see the motion I uploaded to their CLIO Connect portal, being told to file a subpoena myself to acquire an affidavit for my ex-spouses bank statement, and being nickel and dimed for every possible minute, I'm not too sure representation by this firm was a good idea. As it states in their contract and as they will tell you if you try to object to it, they bill for "ALL" time spent on your case....emphasis on "ALL" and they determine how to present ALL matters for your case. Re: Response from the Owner: Not surprised, it's been 2 weeks and never received a response from your "Director of Litigation", not sure which of your non-law degree staff you would give that title to, but thus far the only thing I have received was your letter stating you are closing my file after you charged me for work you have not provided. Just like all the charges you placed against my retainer. BTW: Attorney Client privilege pretty much pertains to the client, not the attorney. It's funny how the audio recording you said you were making at the engagement meeting suddenly did not exist. Don't trust this law firm. I was told I would be charged a lower fee because I had a low income and because she claimed to offer lower cost representation for military. She charged me the same amount my ex was charged full-price for her representation. Pearce law firm will charge you for "every billable minute" as stated iu states in their contract. They make no such deals. Make sure you bring your own tape recorder to your engagement meeting with this one.

I was more than satisfied with Attorney Melissa M Pearce. She called back promptly and offered sound advice. I recommend her highly, and would definitely consider using her services again if the need would come up.
