Attorneys Jamie White and Alex Rusek made it possible for me to get my son back. When I needed an attorney for my son almost 2 years ago, the charge was shoplifting. I desperately needed a good attorney because my son had previously served time in a a Michigan prison. I knew he could not survive this experience again. Over the next year he picked up many new charges including two more shoplifting, several gun and ammunition charges, possession and intent to sell meth, weapons charges, manufacture of marijuana and intent to sell and possession of an illegal knife. These charges were in Clinton and Ingham county and at one time there was a $200,000 bond. There were many times that I could not see a light at the end of the tunnel. Throughout this horrible experience both attorneys were supportive and truthful and never judgmental. They always told us what the outcome could be and it was not good. After my son had been in and out of jail on bond with all these new charges, my husband and I decided we had to try something different. All of my son’s charges were due to his substance abuse. We had tried different rehabs in the past with no success but believed that a rehab in Minnesota would be our best and last shot. The first step was to get the prosecutors and two county judges to release him on a reasonable bond. At this point we were working with Alex Rusek. He met with the prosecutors in both counties, the two judges and my son’s probation officer and persuaded them to agree to let my son go to Minnesota for rehab. The bond on the remaining charges was $17,500. My son was living in Minnesota from October till February in treatment and flying back for court dates. When it came down to his sentencing in Ingham county he was left with a possession of meth charge and possession of ammunition charge. All of the other charges had been dropped because of Alex Rusek’s hard work. He was sentenced to just one and a half years probation with time served. The knife charge in Clinton county was dismissed due to the legal arguments of Alex Rusek. It has been 10 months and my son is still clean and sober. This outcome would not have been possible with out the efforts and arguments of Alex Rusek to get the court system to give my son another chance. If you need a lawyer that will work hard for you, is familiar with the prosecutors and judges, will never judge you and get the outcome you want and deserve , you should contact White Law. Having worked with Mr. White in the past, I did not hesitate to contact him when a family issue arose that involved our son being assaulted, robbed, and bullied at school. After previously filing for a personal protection order and having it denied on my own, I contacted Mr. White to discuss prospects for further action. I was hesitant to drag our son through the legal process of seeking this personal protection order, but we entrusted Mr. White and his staff to assist us with this matter. Mr. White and his staff guided us throughout the process. Both Mr. White and his staff (Brittany & Megan), were absolutely amazing when speaking with our son in preparation of the hearing to obtain a PPO. We were truly impressed with their approach and how comfortable our son felt, given the situation. Surviving sexual assault was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I was abused as a child and suffered the long lasting effects into my adult life.
