Attorney Metzen was a referral, which was one of two given to me; the person didn't know him and had never used his services. However, I called the attorney my referral had used first, and the representative answered the phone and was not warm and receptive, almost like I interrupted her day. She immediately wanted to make an appointment without answering any questions I asked, which was simple, where are you located? She would only answer if I made an appointment first. Well, as I spoke with her I looked up the information and found the address located in Dearborn. I refused to make an appointment with that firm and eliminated them because of her attitude. I then, called Attorney Metzen and he answered immediately, and indicated he would call me back, he was on another call. His voice was pleasant and not rushed, I felt immediate confidence. He called back not long after, and we begin the process of selecting a date for the initial meeting. The day of the appointed his greeting was pleasant and professional. He immediately began to focus on obtaining the necessary information to get me started with the bankruptcy process. I was asked a series of questions, and I was given an outline of what was needed in the end, along with the fees and how I could pay them within the timeline. Also, I was given information regarding signing up and taking the bankruptcy classes. He was very thorough in answering all my questions without hesitation; I only had a couple of questions, because He had covered pretty much everything. I left his office feeling like a burden was being lifted, that had been weighting on me for several years. After a couple of visits, all the necessary information had been submitted, along with my certificate of bankruptcy classes taken online, which completed my part of the bankruptcy process. The final step was, I received a notification for the "Bankruptcy Discharge Order," granted paperwork via email from Attorney Metzen. I'm so thankful to have selected the right person that showed no judgment, but a sense of care regarding helping me resolve the issue I had weighting on me, and been affecting my quality of living. I've been blessed to have such a knowledgeable attorney to handle my case, which I had little knowledge about bankruptcy from the onset of starting the process, but now I do. He educated me a lot, as well as the classes he referred me too; they were so helpful. He restored my hope in having another opportunity to start over and make better choices financial going forward. Filing for bankruptcy is tough. They were organized, comprehensible, and I was able to get my life back to normal rather quickly. Attorney Metzen was professional and supportive. The stain on my credit was better than bad credit in my eyes. However, I obviously hoped to not have to use them again, but once again DPS has unlawfully taken from me as they did in 2010. Yet, they were charged and that case was won in a class action teacher lawsuit of over 1,000. Now, 13 years later, they are breaking ADA laws of removing ADA accomodations with capricious discrimination and retaliation. I may call this lawfirm again soon, but if so, I know that I will be in good hands.

I like how the bankruptcy process was explained. I definitely like how he wasn't judgemental. I called other places and was met with some very rude lawyers. I'm glad I didn't give up on my search and found this office. I tell people about my experience and often refer this office. I been doing ok since filing. Don't be tempted by credit cards and loans.
