Choosing the right attorney is critical when it pertains to your personal life. I can honestly say that I made the right decision by choosing Shimek Law Firm. I was involved in an emotional custody battle and although it was one of the toughest times of my life, I was able to relax because I felt confident with both Kory and Lora's work. They thoroughly explained everything to me which made the process a lot easier. Their knowledge and experience was reflected within their work. Kory was able to settle my case with results that I was very happy to walk away with. I have my daughter about 95% of the time, which means the world to me. Shimek Law has greatly impacted my life, and I can't thank them enough.

Mr. Shrimek, and his team has gone miles out of their way to help me!! I went to Mr Shimck, for a consultation about a situation I was dealing with, and he listened to me and helped me with the nightmare mess the lawyer I hired who took my money and didn’t represent me !!! Mr Shrimek helped me and didn’t charge a penny more for ALL the extra work they had to do for me , for a case that another Lawyer got paid for! Thank you. Once you pay their retainer good luck to you. Whatever your case is, they only discuss it when they are trying to take your money, after that you will never see them again only to make payments. You will speak with Lori or Kurt but neither of them show up to court. They hire attorneys fresh out of law school with no experience to send out to court, worse than court appointed attorneys. They show up late for court, if anyone shows up at all. Its the kind of representation that you will need to keep your fingers crossed and say a few prayers while you're waiting to see the judge. And you will be very lucky if they actually make it to you by the time your case is called because the "one" attorney they send out (for family law) is also there to represent at least 5-10 other people and he/she will be running in and out of different court rooms talking briefly to all their multiple clients for that day. They don't return phone calls, and if they do its at least two weeks later. Trust me if you have the slightest complicated, challenging, or anything critical this is not the law firm to go with. Don't get suckered in by cheap fee cause it will cost you more in the end with such poor incompetent representation!

You meet with the Lawyer and you never speak to them again or do they even seem to have much to do with your case..(Bankruptcy) They only give the terms and the cost and have the guy in office do all the work. Cheap to file with them..but you get very little personal service with the Husband, Wife Lawyers. And its up to you to print all your Credit reports and List everything you owe on all your worksheets they hand you. Not impressed with the professionalism. Girl at office is unfriendly and not welcoming.

While no one wishes to find themselves in a child custody case Mr.Shimek is a knowledgeable and trustworthy attorney who can guide you through the process. I was very impressed with Mr.Shimek ability to get up to speed on the facts of my case and he took every step of my case seriously. He is very detailed oriented and very professional. I was happy with the outcome and i will continue to use him for any further legal matters.
