Jonathan Hagy was amazing with putting our family’s estate planning documents together in a short time frame and for a great price. I used to work for an estate planning lawyer in another state, so I have a rough idea what I’m looking at, and the documents he put together for us were top notch, and very clearly spelled out everything. I also called virtually every other lawyer in Traverse City, and his prices were far more reasonable than what some of the other lawyers wanted. After doing a fair amount of research, I chose Laura Liberty to set up a trust for my husband and me. There were quite a few glowing online reviews for her, and I am very happy to say that we had an outstanding experience with Ms. Liberty. I suppose that most trusts have some kind of complication to them, and ours was no exception. We own property in two states, we don't always live together, we've got the usual pension and retirement funds, my brothers and I share a summer cabin that is held in an LLC, and we have a family comprising children from two marriages. Laura didn't bat an eye. She gave me a list of the documents that were needed, and once I rounded them up and supplied them, she got down to work and drew up our trust. I had a million questions, since this was my first experience with a trust, and Laura very patiently answered every one of them. Sometimes twice, because financial things often confuse me. What a competent, pleasant person! And then, after everything was all set up and she had moved my condo into the trust, I encountered a banking issue which required me to temporarily move the condo out of the trust. I panicked at the thought of trying to do this, but then realized I just needed to call Laura! I did that, she squeezed me in for a consult on the same day, smoothed me over, calmed me down, and efficiently handled my problem for me. It is impossible to overstate what a great trust attorney she is! Don't hesitate; call Laura Liberty!

I would give 0 stars if I could. I have been trying to get a family trust set up with Erin O'Neil at Bethany Warner & Associates since Jan. 2023, so almost 11 months now. They currently have both deeds to my 2 properties and haven't sent them to the county to change them into my trust. This has been a terrible experience for me and my family. I sure hope they are not trying to steal my properties!!! Please finish my file so I can move on from this terrible firm. Update: as of November, my Deeds were finally recorded.

Having moved from Illinois to Michigan recently, it became necessary to modify our wills, trust, and powers of attorney estate documents to reflect state law and to update our plans and preferences. Crooks!! Do not hire unless you are looking for multiple months of bogus charges…Billed multiple times for months after issue had been resolved. Then just received another bill after paid a month ago!!
