I have a friend with a legal issue that was quite distraught and looking for legal help. She found Goldman and Associates online and like what she saw. Since she was out of town I sent $2500 of the $5000 they wanted. She talked to someone on the phone and he directed her to one of the firms lawyers. We found out later that redirection counted as her free consultation. That was a red flag. She still had not verbally agreed to hire them to represent her. So she got an appointment to talk to a lawyer and later got an email stated she had three options which we already knew and the one she was hoping for seemed unlikely. We then decided it wasn’t worth the risk and decided to request a refund if the money we paid up front. My friend is very upset and depressed at this point. She got a call from someone at Goldman and told them she wanted to be refunded. She was told they were going to charge for service but she would get a refund. They also started sending links and telling her she needed to write a five star review and it would make the refund easier and faster. They kept sending links for a day or two asking ( demanding) she give a five state review. She was so upset thing they would not refund the money. We finally got the refund but they took things like nearly $200 for an email and other charges. It appears they did not communicate what anything was and the charges though my friend never told them she was hiring them. And the fact that she was being coerced to write a five star review was beyond the pale in my opinion. I wish you luck and hope you have lots of cash on hand if you go to this form with a legal issue. Make sure you ask lots of questions about the process or you will throw money away because communicating their actual process is non existent. I hate doing bad reviews but I feel this one is well earned.
