I write this review as a new homeowner largely thanks to Larry Powe. As a young person trying to purchase a house this was my first need to hire a lawyer. I had little knowledge of the home buying process nor the legal world surrounding it so upon the reference of a member of my church I reached out to Larry to provide some quick legal support as I finalized the transaction. What we both had hoped would be a relatively simple transaction unraveled into a more drawn out labor that nonetheless resulted in my desired outcome. Throughout the process Larry’s deep knowledge of his field and consistent professionalism was clear as he provided me with sound advice and also handled all communication with the parties involved with great tact, even when things had turned a little south. What was more important to me, however, was Larry's continually clear, generous, and helpful communication with me. He went above and beyond in advising me as I navigated the waters of home buying. He was clear about what he thought was the best course of action, but also respected my opinions which I found especially refreshing as a young and somewhat naive client. Beyond the technical knowledge Larry has clearly mastered the art of his profession. He knew when to push more aggressively on the other party in the sale and also when to hold back and let things work themselves out. It was this skill and sensitivity to the situation that I believe resulted in the successful completion of the transaction. Moreover, he was fair with the billing in the end! I appreciated Larry and his services very much.
